Official Start of Dynasty

Wassup fellas.  Ok, so I think we are good on rosters, we are good on sliders and we have a full league.  The only thing we were waiting for was word from EA on a potential patch but there hasn't even been a hint or sniff of information regarding this so I don't think we should wait too much longer waiting for something that we have no idea when it will come.
 
With that said, I will create the Dynasty on Wednesday, August 7 and send out invites to everyone.  Apparently, not everyone has the game yet but will be doing so shortly, so that should give everyone time to get the game. 
 
I will then advance to Week 1 on the morning of Saturday, August 10.  That will give everyone 3 days to accept the invite and do their pre-season stuff.  it will also give anyone who doesn't have the game by Wednesday 3 more days to pick it up.
 
If for some reason EA releases word on a patch between now and then we can revisit this at that time.
 
Let's get this started.

Everyone please make sure you read/review the rules again and sign them before Wednesday.  I will only send the invites to those that sign/agree to the rules.

Now that we have a start to the Dynasty and 11/12 users have chosen a team you can make requests for user games now.  Keep in mind that I can't guarantee your request will get processed but I will try my best, in particular those agreed to by both parties.

According to the 2013 official Iowa schedule I'll have Nebraska, Michigan state and Ohio State on my schedule.

Wow EDJ.  Assuming the system uses the official schedule you'll have quite the gauntlet to end the season with your last 3 games being:

vs Michgan State (Squirrel)
at Penn State (illmatic
vs Iowa (Steel Pitt)

Hopefully I can get motivated for this NCAA im not feeling it this year.

Yep, will do.  I am using the OS rosters.  I'll download the most recent ones on Wednesday before I create the league.

My Day Online

I logged on today to get some work with Iowa and my custom playbooks so I ventured online to play a random online game.  My first opponent waited for me to choose and then matched up with me.  he chose Nebraska so I got my first taste of Nebraska/Iowa in a user game.  After we traded scores on our first possessions, I scored again on my second drive to go up 14-7.  My opponent faced a 3rd and 15 when I got a sack and put him in 4th and 18 from his own 15.  Of course, he goes for it and gets it (I was so upset).  But luckily he threw a pick like 4 plays later and eventually quit shortly after halftime when I was up by 21.

My second opponent has his team screen set at Kansas State as I scroll through the teams looking for Iowa (I was going to choose them regardless).  I'm choosing the uniform and playbooks and he moves the teams up and then resets at Kansas State.  As soon as my status says ready, he zips his team choice to Alabama and quickly hits accept to start.  I had to laugh as if he needed to sneak his pick of Alabama like that.  He actually played legit (mixing up his plays and even kicked FG and punted).  However, after falling behind 7-0, I scored the next 17 points to go up 17-7 and shortly after the second half kick he asks for a friendly quit (it was gonna get worse for him, lol).

I know ... I should expect that gong into a random game but I do find decent opponents on there every now and then and there's only so many times you can play the CPU in Play Now.  Well, I can't wait for the season to start, lol.

I have no patience for randoms online these days. Those guys raise my blood pressure too high

We are currently full but I can put you on the wait list.  Btw, this is a PS3 league (I notice you said gamertag).  You can find the information about the dynasty at the link below but in short you can choose any team, we usually play about 4-5 user games a season and we advance about every 4 days.

Wow, this is exciting! I have the game, but no internet. Basically, I was stealing internet from my neighbor who I found out the other day is moving out. So they didn't renew their internet for this month. The perils of being a mooch.... Anyways I am going to get my own internet tomorrow and hopefully set everything up. Wooooo!!!!!

After several hours on the phone, I got my own internet  

Alert for everyone: PSN username is illmatic_216. Not the underscore. I hadn't played PS3 since last December-ish and couldn't remember my info so I had to create a new name. Please add me. Steel, could you please send the invite to that username. I will be using it for NCAA and Madden. If there is a way to change my name on the forum I will do that as well.

I will be home around 830 EST tonight if anyone wants to play. I have literally played like half a game and none online.

i played some guy in ultimate team last night. he had an 85 ovr mike vick and like a mid 70s jason avant. every single play he would throw it to avant, and every single play avant would get open. it was to the point that i was triple teaming avant manually, and avant would still somehow get open. he beat me on a TD pass to avant with 30 seconds left.

i'm never playing against randoms again (that's a lie) hahaha
