Week 3 Open
Mon Feb 17, 2014 8:34 am
Sorry for the slow advance. Moving today and tomorrow, so it's been a hectic week with packing and stuff. Didn't even have a chance to get my game in, and I lost a sim to Ole Miss.
Week 4 opens Thursday, 2/20, assuming I have Internet at my new apartment by then.

AL 63 FL 21
This game was never in doubt as the Crimson Tide came in The Swamp and scored touchdowns on nine of it's first ten possessions to mud hole stomp the Gators.
This game featured an all around effort from both sides of the ball:
1. 9 TDs
2. Both "starting QB's" combined to go 22-25, for 257 yards and 3TDs
3. Three players with 100 yards rushing (Henry, Phillips, Kamara)
4. 8 different receivers caught a pass.
5. No sacks allowed by the OL
6. 8 TKLs for loss
7. 4 sacks
Player of the Game:
Offense - A. Kamara (10 Car, 154 Yds, 3TDs)
Defense - I. Scott (4 Tkls, 2 TFL, 2 Sks)

I went ahead and played the Auto Pilot Longhorns. If sick_wid_it decides he wants to try and play, I'll be around tomorrow night.
The game came out from the start and said that my starting QB was going to suck because it was a road game. Thanks for programming the game to fuck with you just because EA. After Turnover Tommy throws 3 interceptions in the first quarter, and two screen passes are thrown 10 yards downfield (not even joking) I benched his ass. Backup QB Hale is just as good, and he leads his first drive down the field flawlessly. Passes are on point, and on a key third down, I scramble to pick up the first and he gets hurt for 12 weeks. FML. And FYEA.
How else can the game screw with me? Let's hurt my starting RB and knock him out at least a week. My starting WR, 3rd WR, and TE too for the game. Texas had one player get the wind knocked out of him...
The Texas QB threw nothing but drags and screen passes the entire game. Completed a 56 yard TD pass on the money, and threw a fluttering lame duck that caused my DB to just spin in circles not knowing how to cover the play for an easy TD.
The 4th quarter, I try to run out the clock and Texas can't tackle. Three quick TDs were had to piss on the Longhorns.

Mizzou survives late Arkansas comeback
Missouri 24, Arkansas 21
Maty Mauk was on fire -- completed his first NINETEEN passes before I started caring too much about the perfect streak and it screwed up my playcalling.
Arkansas rallied late, but CB Nick Newman's 3rd INT of the season sealed the game for Mizzou.
Next up: Bama.

Players of the Game
Offense: QB Maty Mauk -- 20/22 passing for 198 yards, 2 TDs; 8 carries for 25 yards, 1 TD
