Early planning:
Stage #1 - Resign Players (Tuesday night)
Stage #2 - Free Agent Wave 1 (Wednesday night advance early Thursday evening (7 pm Centralish))
Stage #3 - Free Agent Wave 2 (advance early Friday)
Stage #4 - Free Agent Wave 3 (advance early Saturday)
Stage #5 - Draft Preparation (skip)
Stage #6 - Draft (Draft Saturday night)

This is a pending thread. But if the Super Bowl is played tonight, we will have to get through 5 stages before we draft. It's a tight squeeze...
Expect a mass pm/PSN message/text message as a reminder as we try to rush through the offseason.

Honestly, do we need a day of draft preparation? Everyone should be able to set their boards in advance, so we could save a day and draft Saturday night. Or we could scratch one round of Free Agency as mission mentioned.

As long as everyone can make Wave 1 of FA, Wave 2 in unnecessary IMO. or even 12 hour advance if someone cant make Wave 1. Also draft prep shouldn't be needed the CPU drafts well if you don't feel comfortable you can always delegate. All this is my opinion but being in two other leagues that have gone through the post season this is what I recommend.

Saturday night's like the only time this week I CAN'T draft. Going to Ole Miss for the Mizzou game.

Is there a way to set draft boards this year, or did EA leave that out again?

Any legitimate position changes are fine.
OLine to be shuffled around.
4-3 DE to 3-4 OLB and vice versa
3-4 DE to 4-3 DT and vice versa
FS to SS and vice versa
CB to Safety and vice versa

WR to TE is not allowed.
RB to FB for speed purposes is not allowed.
WR to RB is not allowed.
WR to QB is not allowed.

Someone mentioned this before but player progression will be a problem. Keenan Allen and Vincent Brown jumped 10 points in one year and that pales in comparison to some of your players. We'll all have a bunch of 90+ guys by year 4.

Player regression should be aggressive though too. It depends on your staffing needs. I had a "Bad" regression trainer and a bunch of my players fell 5 points this offseason. I fired his ass and picked up a good regression trainer since all the world class ones were already taken.

After I lost in the playoffs it gave me the option to review my staff and resign/fire. You may have missed the chance if you never logged in.

Anyone have any idea how much cap room we need to leave open for the class of rookies we will draft (sorry if this was already covered somewhere else)?

If we can draft Saturday evening (like around 5 cst) I think that would work better for most people. It's tough to tell your friends you can't go out because you have a video game football draft lol

You dont need to save any Cougars they automatically put money apart for rookies.

Pretty stoked about Bethea, though. If I can lure Kenny Phillips away from Pitt, my secondary's gonna be solid next year.

EDIT: Holy awesome. Bethea has 25,000 XP, and was already an 88 OVR.

Just a word of advice EDJ if people dont show up 30mins before I'd ap them, because the CPU takes the entire clock to draft.
