ATH Yusef Hopkins
Rosenberg, TX
#19 Athlete
#70 Overall
Nebraska adds another electric athlete to their incoming recruiting. Hopkins was a heavy Minnesota lean as little as 2 weeks ago. Hopkins boasts incredible speed (90's in Speed, Agility, and Acceleration) and is elusive with the ball in his hands. Hopkins projects as a RB, and may be a redshirt candidate with Imani Cross being a starter, and Newby and Taylor as 2A and 2B on the depth chart for next season.
C Derron Stephens
Elkridge, MD
#5 Center
#223 Overall
Stephens was a hidden gem (+6) that both Nebraska and LSU targeted early. Stephens chose to go chew grass in the bayou, much to the dismay of Husker fans.
MLB Thomas McDowell
Columbus, OH
#1 MLB
#14 Overall
One of the most interesting developments in recruiting battles is the slipping of hometown Ohio State dropping to third on McDowell's board in recent weeks. Nebraska gambled this season hosting the prospect relatively early in Week 8, allowing the scarlet and cream to shoot up to #1 on his board. With 4 weeks to work on their relationship with the recruit, the Huskers maintained #1 status despite a strong visit to Alabama in Week 12 that catapulted them to #2. Nebraska has a week to secure McDowell's commitment before he takes a visit to Columbus in Week 14. If that visit happens, there's no way to guess how many tattoos McDowell will walk away with from Tressel's office and if that will sway the recruit.

Week 13 Preview
As we head into Week 13, we are racing toward the final stretch of the season and each game has more significance to it. This is just the case in the AALOA as Bowl berths, Conference Title berths and National Title hopes are riding on several games across the country.#16 Florida at #25 Missouri
Coach Mustard and his Tigers spent the 2013 season telling anyone that would listen about how they were getting the respect they deserve. Not from the voters who refused to vote for them in the Top 25 or from Mother Nature herself as they were bombarded with snowfall in the second half of the season. Well this season the Missouri Tigers have gone out and taken their respect. The Tigers are 7-4 on the season and tied with the Gators for first place in the SEC East so this game is essentially a play-in game to see who will face the SEC West winner (to be discussed later). Maty Mauk is 5th in the country in passing yards and will have to be on his game for the Tigers to pull off the upset. With it also being Senior Day, I'm sure the stands will be rocking in Missouri.
#2 Iowa at #22 Michigan
Coach Steel Pitt was brought in to rebuild this program and following a 10-2 first season that saw him win a Rose Bowl he has his sights set on more. The Hawkeyes enter the game 10-0 and #2 in the country according to the latest BCS standings. A win over the Wolverines would give Iowa at least a share of the B1G West title and would earn a spot in the B1G Title Game by virtue of their win over Michigan State. Junior QB Jake Rudock is coming off his best game of the season (after missing 5 games due to injury) but the heart of this offense is still RB Damon Bullock who entered the Heisman discussion this week.
#9 Ohio State at Purdue
The Buckeyes are tied in the loss column with Maryland but fall short of the tie-breaker due to their 56-31 loss earlier in the season to the Terps. Have the Buckeyes lost their grasp on the B1G East Division? Could they lose out to a newcomer to the division? Its possible, but they can still make their way to Indy if they can beat recent foe Purdue and hope for help in the form of a Maryland loss.
#1 Alabama at South Carolina
In Alabama they live football and that attitude has led to a lot of success over the years. That attitude has helped get this team to #1 in the BCS yet again. That attitude has gotten a spot in the SEC Title game as they hold a two game edge over Texas A&M with two to play but a victory over the Aggies gives Bama the spot in the title game. Can Alabama make 4 in six years?

Greetings from T-Town!
We had a great week and things only got better as we rode the high from our win against ND to signing two of our three star recruits. First we had Brian Francis a OLB from Prichard, AL and Noah Smith a 6' 2", 172 LB Wide Out from Clinton, MS. Not the greatest draw but we'll take it!
We also took the lead in the battle for #1 SS Mark Green who has no other visits on his schedule. We are locked in a three way battle for the #1 MLB Thomas McDowell and we are claiming ground on Nebraska. We're holding on to a slim lead in the battle for the #3 SS Paul Bracken, have a strong chance to land Antoine Jones the #3 OLB, Justin Butler (#8 OT) and fighting Notre Dame trying to land the #1 OT Troy Randle from Tuscumbia, AL. We're crossing our fingers that he decides to stay home an continue the long tradition of strong offensive linemen who attend UA. As we stated last week, we won't have the biggest draw but we hope to have a quality recruiting class.
This week we played South Carolina in Columbia and had a great game from our QB Alec Morris (24-26, 281 Yards, 7 Car, 57 Yds, 4 Total TDs). South Carolina was TOUGH against the run. While we had 232 yards as a team and scored 3 TDs on the ground, much as that was in the second half when the game was in hand. For the first time in a long while we didn't have a 100 yard rusher but Alec Morris helped pickup the slack by throwing dots all over the field.
Our defense continues to be solid, holding SC to 30 yards rushing on 10 attempts and causing 2 turnovers.
This is good showing in preparation for the Iron Bowl against Auburn. The plan is to continue our dominance of this in state rivalry and rest up for the SEC championship.
Roll Tide Roll!

Iowa Clinches Spot In B1G Title Game
It didn't start pretty but that's why they play four quarters. The Iowa offense was grateful for that fact as they looked sluggish in the first half. The Hawkeyes somehow still took a 14-10 lead into the break thanks to a solid defensive performance and a 101 yard Kickoff Return for a TD by WR Damon Powell. Whatever Coach Steel Pitt said at halftime obviously worked as the Hawkeyes jumped all over the Wolverines and outscored them 21-0 in the third quarter to essentially put this game away. Michigan scored 21 points of their own in the fourth quarter but couldn't stop the Hawkeyes from leaving Ann Arbor with a 49-31 victory.
With the win, the Iowa clinches a share of the B1G West Title and earns a spot in the B1G Title Game. The Hawkeyes move to 11-0 and now get ready to face border rival Nebraska in the annual Heroes Game.

Georgia Tech upsets Va Tech for the second season in a row 31-24. The win makes the Yellow Jackets bowl eligible and may have saved Coach Truth Bonds' job.

I based that off the website, which has proven inaccurate in the past. If you played, I'm sure you played. Just more proof of how much EA messes up. hahaKen wrote:I honestly thought I played. I can play later tonight but advance it if you want.
