Another convincing Pac12 game for the ASU Sundevils. We welcomed back our senior signal caller Taylor Kelly and he picked up the new offensive system as if he's been playing in it his entire life. Kelly went 35 for 40 passing for 436 yards and 5 TDs. Of his 5 incomplete passes, 3 were drops and the other two were INTS. Minus the TO's he had a phenomenal game and we are excited about the future here at ASU. Our passing attack is making it easy to run and Deantre Lewis had 146 yards on the ground. Seven different WR's caught passes and our defense held Colorado to 10 points (all in the first half).
Next Up: #13 Washington
Player of the Game:
Offense: Taylor Kelly, QB, 35-40 436 Yds, 5 Car, 33 Yds, 7 Total TD
Defense: Ezekiel Bishop, SS, Tkl, FF, FR, TD

Air Force Rebounds At San Diego State
A week after suffering their first loss of the season against non-conference foe SMU, the Falcons resumed MWC conference play on the road against San Diego State. Their reward for failing to beat an undefeated squad last week was a conference road game against yet another undefeated team in the 5-0 Aztecs. San Diego, known for their sunny days to the point of brush fires, was hit with a monsoon-like downpour. The weather, however, did nothing to spoil a great matchup of two teams unbeaten in conference play. This was a back and forth affair all day as it was a 7-3 game after one, tied at 10 at halftime and deadlocked yet again at 17 after three quarters of play.
With their first possession of the fourth quarter, Coach TomBarry DiClemente utilized a hurry up offense to catch the Aztecs off guard as Air Force drove down the field for the go ahead score when QB Nate Romine hooked up with TE Marcus Hendricks on a 7 yard TD pitch and catch. After a huge fourth down stop gave the Falcons the ball back with over 5 minutes remaining, Coach TomBarry DiClemente went back to a traditional pace. After showing they could play fast and diverse, the Falcons, up a score and looking to kill some clock, drove 80+ yards down the field on all run plays that culminated in the eventual game winning TD run by WR Sam Gagliano on an option pitch (highlight can be seen on Dynasty Wire). San Diego State would score again to cut the lead to 31-24 but Air Force recovered the onside kick and ran out the remaining seconds to seal the victory.
FINAL SCORE

Mustangs trample Tulane
SMU 45, Tulane 21
Last week, the SMU Mustangs lost their starting QB for the season.
This week they may have found a better one.
In his first start of 2014, Sophomore QB Neal Burcham on Saturday led the Mustangs to their most explosive offensive performance of the season, racking up 575 yards of total offense en route to a 45-21 blowout of the Tulane Green Wave.
It was business as usual for the Mustangs' dominant run game, with HB Kevin Pope racking up 163 yards on a blistering 6.7 yards per carry. But it was the passing game, which had been conspicuously absent from the Mustangs' attack all year, that fueled the team's best offensive performance of the season.
Burcham completed 20 of his 22 passes for 312 yards and 3 TDs, proving beyond a doubt that he's capable of leading the Mustangs for the rest of the year — and maybe beyond.
"Don't you think it's a bit early to be talking about QB controversies?" an agitated Coach Mustard told reporters after the game. "Neal played a great game. Let's just leave it at that for now."
With the win, the Mustangs improve to 6-0 overall and 2-0 in the AAC. They have Week 8 off before going on the road against Temple.
