Mizzou smothers Kentucky

In a game that was never as close as the score, the No. 17 Missouri Tigers had their way with the Kentucky Wildcats, winning 35-25.

QB Maty Mauk missed his 5th straight game with his status officially listed as "questionable," but it didn't matter. WRs Dorial Green Beckham and Clifford Wall were their usual dominant selves, giving the Missouri offense nearly 200 yards and 2 TDs between them.

On the defensive side, Kentucky's offensive line held star DE Shane Ray to a quiet 3 tackles for a loss and 0 sacks ... through three quarters. Then, in the fourth quarter, Ray registered not one; not two; but three sacks in a single series, quashing the Wildcats' comeback hopes in emphatic fashion.

Ray now has 17.5 sacks through 10 weeks — almost twice as many as the No. 2 pass rusher in the country, who has 9.

Got screwed out of a game tying TD on 4th & Goal after the CPU facemasked Vad Lee at the the Goal line. No flag. Duke goes on to win 17-10. Picture and highlight of the blatant penalty on the dynasty wire. I'm never going to get over the hump in this dynasty. ugh

Nebraska falls to Alabama in the rain. Tommy Armstrong can't handle the relentless blitzes, and the run game went nowhere. Defense didn't step up to stop the quick slants of Bama.  Tough game to swallow for Husker faithful.

After a slow start (three restarts because of disconnections), and losing star RB TJ Yeldon for the game early in the first half, the Crimson Tide pulled away from Nebraska in Lincoln on  a cold, rainy night.

The story of the game was the play of QB Alec Morris and the Bama defense. Morris made big throw after big throw in key situations when Bama had to go away from the run game. The defense stepped up with several sacks and 4 turnovers while only allowing 11 yards on the ground.

After losing a tight game to USC in LA, and an OT thriller to Mizzou the adjustments made on both offense and defense are paying dividends. As we've consistently stated, we are taking things one week at a time. Our goal is to win the SEC West, the SEC championship and play in a BCS game.
