OFFSEASON SCHEDULE
Tue Sep 24, 2013 10:11 am
I have now advanced to the next stage. Please keep in mind that there are several stages to the offseason so to keep things moving I will be advancing pretty much twice a day so that we can start Season 2 as soon as possible. Please find the remaining offseason schedule below. We are currently in the Players Leaving stage.
Players Leaving - Tuesday (9/24) 11AM EST to Wednesday (9/25) 8AM EST
Recruiting - Wednesday (9/25) 8AM EST to Thursday (9/26) 8PM EST
Position Changes - Thursday (9/26) 8PM EST to Friday (9/26) 8PM EST
Player Cuts - Friday (9/26) 8PM EST to Saturday (9/27) 8PM EST
Pre-Season - Saturday (9/27) 8PM EST - Monday (9/29) 8PM EST
Season 2 Begins - Monday (9/29) 8PM EST
As you can see there are several stages (and I did not list some of the ones that will be skipped) so I will be strict with the advance schedule in order to have Season 5 start on Friday night.
Again, we are now in the Players Leaving stage.

Iowa Players Leaving (none Seniors):
RB Mark Weismann - After his play time disappeared, he saw the writing on the wall and decided to turn pro.
DT C. Davis (87OVR) - I was able to convince him to stay with the promise that he wouldn't regret getting his college degree.
I wonder what the goals are to keep that promise?

Also, it looks like there is only one stage dedicated to Recruiting, unlike the 5 weeks of offseason recruiting in the past, so I am basically giving everyone 2 days to get it done (Wed morning to Thurs night). Make sure you don't miss out on recruiting since its only in one stage because Thursday night at 8PM the week advances.

Michigan State Players Leaving:
Huge huge huge keeping Mumphery, Gleichert, and Jones. Noticeably absent, All-Everything DE Marcus Rush, who apparently wants to top the 22 sacks he put up this past season. The offensive line may be pretty weak next year, and my WR corps is going to be pretty deep, so I'm considering a switch to a more spread-style offense.

I know this is gonna piss everyone off but is there anyway I can get a delay on the pre-season advance??? Flying back from Columbus on Sunday evening, I wont get home until around 8pm...
I promise will handle my pre-season stuff as soon as I get home Sunday evening... Anyway I can get a couple extra hours on the Sunday 8pm advance Steel? maybe Monday morning or at least 11pm on Sunday?
Sorry to be annoying, but pre-season depth chart/red shirting/recruting board is one of the most important parts...

I'm ok for holding back for Buckeye. It's only a 12 guy league, and our quick advances should hold up once we get back in gear again.

Coach Eversole convinces star WR Allen Robinson to stay in school for his senior year following the Gator Bowl which Robinson broke school records for receptions and yardage. Robinson finished 2nd in the NCAA in touchdowns and 7th in yardage this season. Coach Eversole promised him that he would win the Biletnikoff if he stayed an extra year.
SS/CB Adrian Amos, projected as a second round pick, is also staying in Happy Valley for his senior season with a promise from Coach Eversole that he will be a 1st round pick in next year's draft
Good news for Penn State following a year of one of the worst defenses in the history of mankind.

Mizzou won't have anyone leaving early for the draft, but did survive a scare: MLB Michael Scherer, who was penciled in to start with Senior Andrew Wilson going pro, was considering transferring to Arkansas State before Coach Mustard convinced him to stay with a promise of more playing time.
Freshman DT Antar Thompson, on the other hand, will be transferring to Middle Tennessee because of playing time concerns; he is listed last on a depth chart that goes 6 deep, and includes returning starters Matt Hoch and Lucas Vincent.
The team will lose a senior class that includes 6 starters on offense and 6 starters on D. Key departures:
WR Marcus Lucas, 91 OVR*
MLB Andrew Wilson, 91 OVR*
CB E.J. Gaines, 90 OVR*
WR L'Damian Washington, 89 OVR*
LT Justin Britt, 85 OVR
QB James Franklin, 84 OVR
RE Michael Sam, 84 OVR
LG Max Copeland, 81 OVR
LOLB Donovan Bonner, 79 OVR
CB Randy Ponder, 79 OVR
TE Eric Waters, 78 OVR
SS Matt White, 76 OVR
*Projected NFL draft picks.

I'm actually gonna be out of town this weekend, too. Heading up to NY to see my sister's new baby. I'll be in airports most of the day Sunday, so I was hoping I'd be able to take care of stuff through the dynasty website. If not, I could definitely use a brief extension.BK_Buckeye wrote:I know this is gonna piss everyone off but is there anyway I can get a delay on the pre-season advance??? Notre Dame has no players leaving early after convincing Louis Nix to stay even though he was predicted to be a 1st rounder. And yes Im cool with waiting, this time of the season is too important for anyone to miss out on it

So it looks like recruiting in the offseason takes place in 1 Week. It looks like you're given 10,000 points and you can allocate as many as you want to a single player. interestinggggggg

Yeah, this is kind of awesome. Gonna be really interesting to see what other guys' strategies were after we advance. We're 1-2 for a couple recruits, so as I was allocating my points, I was sitting there playing mind games trying to guess how many point you'd pour into them, lol.Steel Pitt wrote:So it looks like recruiting in the offseason takes place in 1 Week. Done with recruiting. It helps when you have hardly recruits interested lol. Makes your choices for you I guess.
There's no way to see other team's recruiting boards right? So it's probably tough to know if other teams are going after 1 guy or like 5 guys. Man, this is really cool and tough. Kinda like a silent auction which is cool.
