SEASON 1: WEEK 2 OPEN
Madden NFL 2003: Seether - Fine Again
Did your team survive Week 1? The answer is probably not. At the time of writing this (shortly before advance, injuries were ringing a ridiculous toll on teams. So pull up a chair and have a pity party with your fellow franchise members needing to fill their roster.
Fun Facts:
- Heading into advance, about 86 players showed up injured.
- ONLY 3 teams escaped advance with zero players injured. You can hate my Bears, Ghost's Bengals, and burnum's Dolphins.
- Only 3 teams had 1 player showing up on the injury report before advance. The Colts, Jets, and Lions.
- Both Patriots RTs are out.
- The worst injury falls on Sebastian Vollmer, out for 39 weeks.
- Chiefs Jaye Howard out 29 weeks, Redskins Jarvins Jenkins out 22 weeks, Rams Laurinaitis out 11 weeks.
- Ravens led all teams with 7 injured players.
- Ravens are missing both of their starting OLBs (Suggs, Dumervil).
- 49ers are missing both of their starting MLBs (Bowman, Willis).
- Wide Receivers and Defensive Tackles each led all positions with 8 injured players.

Classic AALoA matchup. Commando holds one Super Bowl trophy. I've been a Bridesmaid, but never a bride in Madden, but have more Super Bowl trips than Commando. Peterson vs Forte. Ponder's wheels vs Cutler's scowl. Peppers vs Allen. The usual clusterfuck of the NFC North could start settling early for either team. The Vikings cannot avoid going 0-2.
If anyone knows stop_cheesin, any idea why the asshat would just up and quit without a word? The Bills now need a new owner.
Scouting is now LIVE! Hope you like the draft class. Because you have no choice!
Week 3 Opens Sunday night.

True....
Pitt, can ya un-auto pilot me in NCAA when ya get a chance? My Madden honeymoon is over and I wanna get back into the NCAA game Sorry
Eagles are able to beat San Diego 45-35 in a fantasy owner's dream.
Eagles trailed 7-3 after the first quarter, but put together a 21 point 2nd quarter to gain the lead and never let it go. Both teams scored 21 in the 2nd half and Eagles hold on for the victory.
Some gaudy stats:
Rivers: 21/36, 372yards, 4TD
Vick: 10/16, 120 yards, 3TD
Mathews 8/102 yards, TD
McCoy 21/259, 3TD
Gates had 5 catches for 111 yards and a TD
No turnovers in the game
Might be the first time since season 1 of '12 that I ran the ball more than I passed. 28 runs and 16 passes, I must be sick or something.
and response to EDJs write up:
May our rehab staffs be well-paid and competent

Actually, cheesin was in my other league, Realball, won a few championships if Im not mistaken, but did get booted.Prolly left due to the slower pace and still relying on a message board for everything when their are more player friendly options.

Thanks. I finally got an answer. He blamed owner mode being too much work. You'd think that'd be apparent when trying to join and it only give you that option.King_Hippo72 wrote:Actually, cheesin was in my other league, Realball, won a few championships if Im not mistaken, but did get booted.Prolly left due to the slower pace and still relying on a message board for everything when their are more player friendly options.
The forum provides player creativity to enhance the league experience. You can't do shit just looking at a PS3 screen. Things get old quick. C'mon sunshine, brighten up.

Shootout on the Lakefront
The Bears and Vikings renewed their rivalry, and it was a doozy. The Vikings opening drive made it all the way to the 1 yard line before the Bears tightened it up and forced a field goal. The Bears also drove it to the 1 yard line on their opening drive. A fancy wildcat formation resulted in Devin Hester rushing in for a TD on a Jet Sweep. From this point forward, each team delivered blows left and right.
The Vikings Christian Ponder would show his wheeeeels on a play-action bootleg pass and just slide in for a TD.
Bears rookie WR Marquess Wilson justified his anointment as the #3 WR by taking a key 3rd down pass across the middle and racing for 6.
Adrian Peterson woke up and ran untouched on a screen pass for a big TD pass with 24 seconds in the first.
Yet the Bears took a decent return, and 3 time outs to march down the field. With 8 seconds left, the Vikings blanket Marshall, Jeffery, and Martellus Bennett. But Marquess Wilson is open down the sideline for another huge TD.

The 2nd half opened up, the Bears settled for three.
The Vikings find Cordarrelle Patterson who scores on a long TD pass.
Forte counters on a long TD run to regain the lead.
The Vikings score, and Forte seals it with a long TD run.
Christian Ponder amassed over 400 yards through the air on the day.
And coverage wasn't terrible in my mind. Just a crazy game between rivals.

True, but the more things advance, the message board is being left behind, a legit chat room right on the front page and mass texts when issues arise, weeks advance, etc is more user friendly.illmatic_216 wrote:It literally takes 2 minutes a day, at minimum effort, to follow things on a message board. Also, I think the most annoying thing in Madden this year is the number of shoestring tackles. So tired of DEs tripping me up when they're three yards behind me and I have the corner.
