2015 Season - Week 9
Fuck you Illinois. Go back to your meth. You're not allowed nice things.
Fuck you refs. You ignore Illinois holding Nebraska multiple times, then can't ignore balls thrown beyond where the receiver can go catch it and throw the flags in critical moments.
Fuck you Mike Riley. Instill some grit in your team.
Fuck you Danny Langsdorf. Don't call a bootleg when your QB is known to get happy feet and do stupid shit.
Fuck you Tommy Armstrong. Run the play as called. A bootleg run is not a situation to panic and throw it. Milk the fucking clock.
Fuck you Nebraska secondary. For the eleventieth time this season, you break your responsibility in deep coverage. You had one job. You deserve to lose your scholarships. Put the red-shirt freshman in. It can't be any worse.
Fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you. You're Cool. Fuck you. I'm out.
Let me say something about a pending tryout for a new user looking at the Jags or AFC East.

I don't like using the same teams in back to back weeks. So the Eagles-Cowboys game looks good, but gets thrown out. The Bears-Chargers is the next best option. A longtime user-user matchup, will the Bears be able to slow down the high-powered Chargers offense? The same can be asked about the Chargers blitz happy defense against the three-headed monster that is Jeffery, White, and whoever is lined up at TE because they're all good.
Week 10 opens Tuesday night.

Browns win 24-19 on a clutch 2 min drive by Austin Davis and advance to 9-0 but suffer another set back as starting 4-3 DT and backup NT Kendrick Ellis has a pectoral tear and is out for the year. That makes two weeks straight that a key player has suffered a season ending injury and has been put on IR.
Key stats:
QB Austin Davis 14/19 158 Yards 2TDs; 8 rushes 46 Yards
WR Andrew Hawkins 5 Rec 86 Yards 1TD
MLB Karlos Dansby 10 Tackles 1 TFL(he was everywhere)
CB K'Waun Williams 4 Tackles 1 TFL 1 Int
Next week:
If the Steelers beat the Raiders the 9-0 Browns will be facing the 9-0 Steelers in a huge AFC North division game. Winner of this game will take a huge lead over the other as they don't face each other again until week 17.

Steelers make easy work of the winless Raiders as Big Ben posts his second consecutive perfect passer rating en route to a 38-6 victory. The win sets up a battle of unbeaten in Week 10 as division rivals Steelers and Browns meet for early AFC North supremacy.

Chicago traveled to "Whale's Vagina" California to take on the Chargers. A slugfest ensued, where neither team showed it really wanted to win the game. The Madden Gods surely didn't want anyone to win.The Bears opened up the scoring when Jamichael Finely was uncovered on a drag route and turned up field for an easy walk-in TD. The Chargers would answer, finding Stevie Johnson over the top in the back of the end zone, exploiting a Cover 2 Zone. Mr. Fountain-of-Youth Antrel Rolle would step up again, this time with a pick six to give Chicago the lead. Not to be outdone, Kennan Allen would launch himself over Kyle Fuller to grab a TD and draw even. Then shit gets crazy.
Facing a 2nd and 12 to start the 4th quarter, the Bears give up back to back Sacks, forcing a 4th and 26. The Chargers would come out running the ball to milk clock and extend their drive. When they ultimately decide to throw it on 3rd and long near the red zone, Pernell McPhee steps up to sack Ponder and strip the ball. The Chargers would tie the game with a FG.
Hoping to go on a 3 minute drive and kick the ball to win, Mettenberger and the Bears offense would make it to the 30 yard line, only to completely whiff on a relatively safe drag route, giving the Chargers the ball back with 1:52 on the clock. The Bears defense would man the fuck up, and force a 3 and out punting situation.
Two plays later, Mettenberger throws his 4th pick of the game. It appeared the Chargers guessed run, Kevin White blew by Jason Verrett, and Mettenberger threw a pass 4 feet off the ground on a laser towards White. Easy pick. WTF. The Chargers have the ball and time outs to spare.
Two plays later, Ponder throws his 3rd pick, this one to Bill Bentley, a Bears off-season FA target. Bears ball, 7 seconds to go. We're going to overtime. Or are we?
Mettenberger drops back, floats a ball perfectly between the Chargers LB and Safety, and Jermichael Finley hauls ass getting tripped up after a 29 yard game. Time out! 1 second to go. And you know what they say, Robbie is as good as Gould.
What a nightmare of a game to sit through on both sides.
