We win another home game to extend our nation leading home win streak, but it came at a price. Chris Phillips, our do everything player at QB suffered a significant ankle sprain that is going to take four weeks to recover from. Tyler McKinley our true freshman backup QB, played phenomenally after subbing for Phillips near the end of the second quarter. He lead us on four scoring drives and got the first passing TD of his career.
We will be leaning VERY heavily on our offensive line as we bring McKinley up to speeed, but if what we saw this game is any indication of his ability, we can operate like it's business as usually on offense.
The defense was dominate as usually, holding TXAM to 17 pts, and picking off two passes. Definitely a "no-fly zone" in full effect as far as our secondary is concerned.
Next Up: @Arkansas
Players of the Game
Offense: Chris Phillips, QB, 11-13, 205 Yds, 10, Car, 36 Yds, 4 Total TD
Defense: Glenn Watkins, LE, 6 Tkls, 2 TFL, 2 Sks

Somehow, some way, Oregon State holds on to upset the #4 team in the nation, after upsetting the #6 team in the nation the week before. In the 3rd quarter, OSU saw a 42-14 lead. Yet on back to back drives, ASU gets pick sixes on crucial 3rd downs to make it a ball game and end QB Minor's nearly perfect day. The recruits on hand suffered through rain, but man did they see a show. Beavers wore a uni-combo of Black/Orange/Black.

Mizzou over Georgia 13-7 in a defensive struggle.
Lots of heroes in this one, mostly on the defensive side. Missouri holds its second consecutive opponent below 200 yards, and likely would have pitched a shutout if an ill-advised decision to go for it on 4th and 2 early in the 3rd quarter hadn't given Georgia great field position near midfield.
After a lengthy, clock-eating drive that ended in a Missouri FG, it was the reigning DPOTY, Derek Gant, who sealed the game for the Tigers with a 4th and 10 sack with under a minute remaining, and the Bulldogs knocking on the doorstep of the red zone.
Players of the Game
Offense: HB Walter Talley -- 15 carries for 78 yards
Defense: OLB J.T. Bush -- 4 tackles, 2 for a loss, 1 INT

Recruiting Update
Haven't done one of these in a while:
Missouri has once again started the year strong on the recruiting front and finds itself among the top 10 classes in the nation so far.
After two early commitments, Missouri went into radio silence for the next month, with little news to speak of coming out of Columbia. But in recent weeks, things have heated up; Missouri secured two new commitments from high quality talents:
QB Rashad Williamson -- 75 OVR (#12 QB)
CB Freddie Hicks -- 78 OVR (#17 CB, GEM)
