AL 71 - TXAM 31
We were ready for a shoot-out and for two quarters, we were right on that account. After recovering a fumble from our QB Morris, TXAM went down the field and scored to take a 24-21 lead with less than 1 minute left in the 2nd quarter. Alec Morris shrugged off the fumble and took the team on a 39 second TD scoring drive to take a 28-24 lead into half. At halftime, we made a few defensive adjustments, which resulted in us limiting TXAM to just 7 points in the second half and the offense took over from there scoring 42 points. We even added a punt return for a TD to put the icing on the cake. We didn't reach all of our goals for the defensive recruits that were visiting but we hope they realize that by coming to Tuscaloosa they will be a part of a winning tradition.
Hats off to by far our best offseason acquisition, Offensive Coordinator Butch Jones. As of this game we are #1 in total yards, offense, #2 rushing, #9 passing, #1 points per game, #1 rushing TDs, only allowed 5 sacks, #6 in 1st downs, #1 in 3rd down conversions, #1 in red zone attempts, & #1 in red zone TDs.
Stats Highlights:
Two RBs with 100 yards rushing
425 yards and 7 TDs on the ground
15-20 passing for 265 yards and 2 TDs
Punt return for TD
12 minute advantage in time of possession.
Next up: at Arkansas
Players of the Game:
Offense: Derrick Henry, 18 Car, 148 Yds, 5 TD, 42 Rec Yds
Defense: Dee Liner, FF, FR

So apparently in Squirrel's absence, Michigan State has become a triple option team, and it fucking sucks to try and stop. Nebraska wins in a shootout. Even setting Aggressive option tendencies, the FB got injured, and a TE with no carry skills gouged me.
They used an unathletic, 99 rated Pocket Passer, and when behind, was unstoppable in the passing game it felt since he was doing what he was supposed to do.
