Is there any way to shade a certain receiver? Is there a way to press one CB and not the others? I love doing these things in Madden but I don't see how to in NCAA. I was wondering if there was some secret I am not aware of.

only way to do it is to shade the entire coverage towards that receivers' side of the field.

Thanks Squirrel.
I just want to share my general outrage with defensive usering. It has nothing at all to do with league games, just games in general. I have played a fair amount of practice games and lobby games and I am so frustrated by defensive usering. How many times can I possibly user the safety into perfect position and hit triangle and have him forget ho to jump? How many times can I bait someone into a throw and have my guy develop T-Rex arms? I don't even switch my guy when the ball is in the air anymore. I just let it in the computers hands.
A lot of people complained about super LBs in Madden (Something I think is greatly exaggerated btw) but this must be the total opposite of that. I have a feeling that by Year 2 or 3 there will just be no defense being played whatsoever. Balls just continue whizzing right by my helmet, and I am even using strafe to make sure my guy is looking towards the QB and not facing the wrong direction. This is just really pissing me off and I had to vent my frustrations somewhere.
Also, the post-interception camera work can blow me

on usering picks, you really have to hold onto the triangle button to ensure that they make an effort to catch the ball. when i just press the button they almost never put their hands up.
the one thing that really annoyed me about super LBs in Madden was that their range was literally limitless. with patrick willis or brian urlacher you could cover literally all of the field, even like 30-40 yards deep. with NCAA this year it's almost the opposite: last night when I was playing my LBs and D Line had almost not lateral movement at all. WMU was able to get to the corner on every run to the outside, and my safeties were crazy slow to help. I don't know if that was just an isolated incident, but it sure felt like i was completely helpless.

Yes, this year they call it something like interception Assist where you switch to the closest defender and hold triangle, not just press it.SquirrelHunter wrote:on usering picks, you really have to hold onto the triangle button to ensure that they make an effort to catch the ball. when i just press the button they almost never put their hands up.

IMO zone is alot easier to use this game, I've used mostly 80-20 zone in matches against people and its been productive no need for man like lasr year.

I'm done with my user games unless I get a bowl game. Anyone have any good blitz plays/formations trying to add some good pressure.

My defense is still fucking pathetic. But, one thing that has made me at least feel more comfortable is going into my settings and changing the camera angle. I angled it higher, so I see more of the field and from more of an overhead-type of view. I think it lets me see where holes in the running game are forming easier and lets me see the entire field easier, which makes it easier for me to jump/guess routes.
Of course QBs still throw 200MPH rockets right by my guys but it does make me feel more comfortable, so I would suggest changing the camera to anyone.
