I have to say, I was very skeptical about GTA V. I liked IV, but didn't love it, and the whole open world gangster thing just didn't hold the appeal that GTA: San Andreas offered on the PS2. The new gameplay trailer below is amping me up. I really wish there was an official release for the PS4 announced to make my purchase decision easier. I would definitely hold out for PS4 version. I'm still on the fence for the PS3 version if rumors persist of a next-gen port.

What do you think of GTA V so far? Picking it up?

If you pre-order the digital version of GTA V from the Playstation Store, Sony will give you a 75% discount on another Rockstar title. Pretty great deal if you ask me while you wait.

I think I'll be getting sucked in to GTA V. I'm getting hyped by the trailers.

There is a PS3 bundle announced with GTAV. If your console is on it's last legs, it's a pretty good deal for an upgrade to a large harddrive and free 30 days of PS+. Reports state that a Pulse Elite headset is included, but I haven't seen that confirmed anywhere.

Soooo Sony UK just said GTA 5 is going to be awesome on the PS4...They off course deleted the tweet, and I understand how easy it is to press the 4 key that is right next to the 3...but...

Amazon (and everyone else) was sold out of Special Editions. So I buckled down and ordered the Special Edition through GameStop since they claim to have some available. If I get a delay notice, I'll just cancel the order and pick it up in stores. One week away...

FYI, Grand Theft Auto V will require a whopping 8 GB of space on your PS3 harddrive. So make sure you clear some space up before popping in the disc next week.

I'm hyped. I told my oldest yesterday that I now have no shot at finishing Assassin's Creed II (much less the Brotherhood and Revelations which I haven't even started).

My Madden/NCAA practice time will also be close to zero once GTA V is released.

I am contemplating working from home on Tuesday, giving my kids the day off from school and going to the midnight release ... is that too far, lol?

Not too far. Maybe the missing school thing, horde the game for yourself! Haha.

Also, GTA Online is expected to launch with 500+ missions when it goes live in October. Dang.

I am amped for this game. 500+ missions, wow. Heck, I still go online and play GTA IV online to do Mafia Work, Car Jack, etc.

Bye bye general Madden/NCAA play (only leagues games soon, lol).

Make sure you visit the Rockstar Social Club website and register to add everyone on PSN to the Crew. That way we can knock out some crazy multiplayer missions.

There is supposed to be a patch for grand theft auto online today. After I play cougars in madden I plan on giving it try if anyone in the crew wants to join up.
