ESPN Recruiting Nation - Season 1
Sat Sep 29, 2012 3:03 pm
Welcome college football fans as we introduce to you a new segment here in Bristol. Over the remaining weeks of the season, check back often as we highlight the recruits that have gave their verbals, donned the cap of their school of choice, promised their baby's momma to keep their hands off those skanks at school, and continued to live the life of an over-hyped super star (Disney/ABC and our affiliates accept partial credit for this hype).
Who is on your team's radar as we grind further into the conference season?
First UPDATE: Each team has a banner of their own. If you want to use the banner, you can find them in the gallery under NCAA. Link I was thinking in this way, we can compare the recruits we were gaining and see who stole which player from each other.

***** QB Brenton Beverly
#1 QB Overall. #1 Dual Threat QB. #26 Prospect Overall
Nebraska had to dig deep and go on an all out recruiting binge to land the commitment of Mr. Beverly. With Maryland far from any pipelines of Nebraska, the staff was in a very uncomfortable position.
What Nebraska gets is an electric athlete (88 SPD, 81 AGI, 81 ACC) not unlike Taylor Martinez who also boasts some shifty moves (79 BRK TK, 89 ELU) which is very unlike Taylor Martinez. Like any high school dual threat QB, Beverly has to work on his throwing mechanics, but watch his development this fall. Beverly is also an astute student. Able to graduate early, he will be able to enroll this spring in Lincoln to learn the playbook and train for the Spring Game and maybe even earn him some playing time.
The Huskers beat out USC, Wisconsin, and Virginia among others in recruiting Beverly. The young QB didn't even take his official visit before making up his mind.
