Return of the Monsters of the Midway
One thing is for certain though. The new look Bears don't lack for confidence.

Throughout his career as a head coach, John Fox was known to take a major leap with his teams and push deep into the playoffs. Then out of nowhere, Bears young hotshot GM Ryan Pace strutted into Foxy's office and gave him his walking papers. To replace the veteran is someone even younger than the baby-faced Pace. Coach Jeanneret enters the season as a longtime Madden vet without a year of coaching under his belt. But he did call plays for his High School football team once. They almost won that game too.
The new Bears coach inherits an offense with two gifted receivers on the outside, a mercurial QB, and a stable of Running Backs that do one or two things well, but can't live up to the legacy's of prior stars Matt Forte, Walter Payton, Gale Sayers, and more.

The Bears had one of the best preseasons ever in signing Pro Bowl offensive linemen Josh Sitton and John Sullivan off the waiver wire when their rivals cut the talented players. The late additions solidify a unit that looks to be big and nasty and allow the full range of plays to be called in both the run and passing game. The skill positions are manned by two monsters looking to give opponents fits. Alshon Jeffery is uncoverable in one on one matchups. And Kevin White will be soon enough, opposite Jeffery. The two giants on the outside open up the middle for Eddie Royal and Zach Miller. The Bears have a three headed monster at RB, with the speedster Langford bringing lightning, the little bowling ball Ka'Deem Carey bringing the thunder, and the hungry rookie Jordan Howard bringing a bit of both.

The Bears defensive unit lacks a lockdown secondary. But the Defensive Line may be able to stuff the run enough that an extra body or two in pass coverage may be enough to help. The combination of Bullard, Goldman, and Hicks will free up Trevathan and Freeman to roam and lay the wood. On the outside, McPhee will cause nightmares attracting double and triple teams, while rookie Leonard Floyd will be a blur sprinting off the opposite end, or dropping into coverage with his beyond his years instincts. In the secondary, Adrian Amos is an emerging star. The second safety spot is unsettled with three young, talented candidates, and Kyle Fuller is solid just needing a wingman at the opposite corner spot. Bryce Callahan is a name you've never heard of, who will man the nickle position, and is quick enough to stay with any receiver on a drag route. On special teams, Robbie Gould was shown the door for inconsistency. But Mega-Punt is back, and Deonte Thompson looks to lighten the return load from Royal.
