Welcome back NCAA fans.  EA may have shut down production but that hasn't stopped us from entering into our 5th installment of the AALoA NCAA Dynasty.  As NFL teams draw closer to making final cuts and college teams put the final touches on their gameplans for opening weekend, the AALoA prepares for ...

AALoA NCAA14.5 Dynasty



The member list for the latest installment of the NCAA Dynasty is not packed as in past years but what it lacks in volume it makes up for in value.  Confirmed to return for NCAA14.5 are Mr. Denham (a second year member who came on the scene with a bang and quickly established himself as a force in the AALoA), Steel Pitt (a founding member and former National Champion), MrMustard (another original member and perennial power regardless of what team he uses), Truth_n_babylon (yet another original member and one of the more creative defensive minds in the game), X--Nike (a former member returing to the college ranks where he has displayed a knack for being a Giant Killer and showing off a creative offensive mind) and newcomer Scruburbia (still to be confirmed).



With the change in season has come a change of addresses as well.  The coaching landscape is set to change as these powerhouse coaches have yet to accept coaching positions are the country.  Where will they end up?  A powerhouse school ready to make a run at the title?  A mid-level school looking to make the move from good to championship relevant? Or perhaps, an after-thought school looking to make a name for themselves in the college football landscape?



Either way, this installment looks to be a hotly contested one and with that hopefully an enjoyable one for everybody.

If anyone knows the team and coaching level they plan on starting at feel free to post here and I'll update the website.

I know that nobody has chosen teams yet, but if you have any preferences as to members you want to play please post here and I'll try to accomodate you when I set up the schedule.

Right now we have 5 confirmed members and 1 possible (scruburbia).  I will be sending out the invites this week and opening Week 1 next Friday.

If you know of anyone that wants to participate and feel they would be a good fit for the Dynasty, please feel free to direct them to this forum and the sign up thread.

So much for "under the radar", lol.

I like it though.  You can't go wrong with those two teams.  Like you said ... weapons galore.  Oklahoma has Ken's Heisman dark horse Trevor Knight at QB.

The SEC could be interesting if you take Georgia and Denham goes back to Tuscaloosa.

I may have to consider Kansas if you take Oklahoma. hmmmmm

I would go under the radar if we all went with a team under a certain overall. Just a thought but If I were let's say FAU I don't want to be playing Alabama,etc..

When signing up for the dynasty, please ensure that you CREATE A NEW COACH so that we all start at Level 1.


Just a reminder that I will be opening up Week 1 on Friday, August 29 so you have one week to get all of your pre-season tasks completed.

Don't forget to also sign/agree to the league rules.

No problem.  You still have a week to decide.  Just remember that I open Week 1 on Friday so it would be nice if you could decide and sign up by Thursday (8/28) so that I can set up the schedule.

Here is the current coach list:

Steel Pitt - Air Force (Offensive Coordinator)
X--Nike - FAU (Head Coach)
Dre1479 - Arizona State (?coaching rank unsure?)
Mustard - SMU (Offensive Coordinator)
Truth - ?

After suffering through a disappointing 2-10 season (0-8 Mountain West) in which the offense only averaged 24.4 points/game (93rd in the nation) and 368 yards/game (99th in the nation), Head Coach Troy Calhoun has decided to make a change to his staff.  Enter TomBarry DiClemente, the illegitimate son of three former Central Islip High School Head Coaches (Tom Black, Barry Luckman and John DiClemente).  He has been hired to be the new Offensive Coordinator and Recruiting Coordinator here at the Air Force Academy.



After years of the services academies being known for running the triple option, TomBarry DiClemente comes to Colorado with the intention of running a Multiple-Style offense that will make look to make use of the QB's ability to run with the ball and the stable of competent backs in the running game while also trying to produce an effective downfield passing attack.  The latter is something that has been lacking for years, mostly due to running an option offense, but last year it dropped to record lows as the Falcons passing game produced just 105 yards/game which was good for dead last in the country.


The Falcons passing attack did not soar much at all in 2013.

TomBarry DiClemente's first task will be to find out who out of the bevy of QB can lead this offense.  Sophomore Nate Romine (last years starter) will battle it out with Karson Roberts, Kale Pearson and PAte Davis.  All four are capable of handing the ball off and running the read option but the guy that will win the job will be the one that can actually throw the ball downfield (... to the right team).  Coach DiClemente may have to lean on the running game, especially early in the seaosn, but will have capable backs in Devin Rushing, Jacobi Owens and the thumper Jon Lee.  The happiest players on the field may be Sophopmore Jalen Robinette and Senior Sam Gagliano the team's starting WR who will actually get an opportunity to catch balls from the wideout spot rather than just be smaller OL lining up wide.  


Air Force WR embraced each other upon hearing the news of the new hire.

Aside from helping to rebuild and transform the offense, Coach DiClemente will also serve as the Recruiting Coordinator tasked with bringing in the talent needed for the Academy to compete on the FBS level and challenge for the Mountain West crown.  And that includes bringing in defensive help as well as the Falcon defense may have actually been worse than the offense last season ranking 119th in total defense while giving up 490 yards/game and 40 points/game. 

I've accepted a gig as SMU's Offensive Coordinator.

Gonna stick with the Run and Shoot for now. Never really used that playbook much.

Also, Pitt I'd like to play you and Truth this year, if that works for everyone.

You think that's fun ... did you not read the article from the Academy Spirit ... I am taking over the worst ranked passing game in the country, lol.  How many game breakers at WR do you think I'm working with? lol

I have accepted the head coaching position at Bowling Green.

OK I changed my mind already. Bowling was rated too good for my liking. Rolling with the Miami University RedHawks

I'm done I think. The recruiting board was greyed out for me. I'm assuming coordinators can't do that this year? Thought they let you recruit even as an OC/DC in coaching carousel a couple years back, but maybe I'm misremembering.

I'm done the 5 stars are lining up to come to FAU    Lol.

I believe its greyed out to start when you don't have any recruits on your board.  You need to go to Search or All-Prospects and search for the recruits there.  Once you add a recruit then the recruiting board becomes accessible.
