Mizzou signs two
Coach Mustard has picked up right where he left off on the recruiting trail. Just two weeks into 2018, the Missouri Tigers have already signed two commitments for their 2019 Freshman class.
For a program that has long subsisted on 3-star talent, the early signings may point toward a repeat of last year's breakthrough effort that landed Missouri the 2nd best recruiting class in the nation.

Coach EDJ gets his first victory in Beaverton this weekend, and looked stylish in doing so I must say. The Beavers plan on wearing a different uniform combo every week of the season. Week 1 was orange on orange on orange. This week was black on black on black (I don't know what to do with all these choices!).
For the game, the positives outweighed the negatives by far, and it's surprising how resilient the young defense is, and how allergic to the red zone the offense is.
A 14-10 game that went scoreless in the 3rd quarter was broken open in the 3rd thanks to some incredible coffin corner punting that stuck West Virginia inside their 4 yard line twice, resulting in one safety.
QB Matt Minor went over 300 yards in the air despite 3 ill timed interceptions when inside the 20. RB Patrick Robinson gained 130 yards on the ground. And WR Andrew Roth totaled 132 yards receiving. The defense only gave up 173 total yards to WVU. And 41 of those came on one broken HB Screen. Star 3-Phase weapon Patrick Harrell had trouble fielding punts and is in jeopardy of losing his return duties.
Final Score 30-10.
Also, since I've discovered my laptop can run temporarily for short spurts for some reason, I'm able to actually handle posts.

Tigers eek out win in Starkville
Missouri 21, Mississippi State 13
The No. 17 Missouri Tigers knocked off the No. 14 Mississippi State Bulldogs in Starkville to improve to 2-0 on the season.
Missouri was seemingly in control the whole game, but the Bulldogs refused to roll over and play dead.
QB John Howard and HB Walter Talley combined for 153 yards rushing, fueling a balanced Tiger attack. But it was a dominant performance by the Missouri defense that deserves all the credit for the win.
Mississippi State was held to fewer than 300 yards of total offense, and the Tigers came up big when it counted with two goalline stands, the latter of which came with just over 2 minutes to play.
Next up for Missouri: A critical two-game home stand against Oregon State and Alabama.
Players of the Game
Offense: HB Walter Talley -- 14 carries for 86 yards, 2 TDs
Defense: OLB Kyle Bush -- 6 tackles (2 for a loss), 1 sack
