Conference Championship Week Open

Damn, this season felt like it went by really fast. Lots of drama this week, with Alabama and Nebraska hoping to secure spots in the national title game. Of course, if UCLA wins its game and Nebraska can't crack the top 2, we could have a user vs. user Rose Bowl, instead.

SEC Championship: No. 2 Alabama vs. No. 4 South Carolina

B1G Championship: No. 3 Nebraska vs. Ohio State

Pac-12 Championship: No. 6 UCLA vs. No. 11 Washington

Advance is Monday, March 31, but I don't expect it'll take that long with you three.

On a personal note, sorry for the laziness/lack of write-ups on my part this year. I've got a pretty good excuse though, having just moved across the country and all.  

Be thinking about 1. Whether you want to keep this going for another year, and 2. If you want to realign conferences for more user games. Nike dropped out, saying he got a job and can't play as much any more, so we're basically stuck at 4 active users for the time-being.

I vote for one more season. We've hit the dregs of Madden season, so it's to be expected that no one's really invested in playing NCAA. Also the fact that there's no game coming out the next year is contributing to the lack of participation. 

In terms of conference realignment, I not sure about that, because it will probably end up with us scavenging each other's chances to win the championship. We should definitely all play each other though.

I'm against realignment just due to past experiences of it derailing things. While we have four users now, once the new season rolls around I expect people to show back up, and a roster file to be created for the 2014-15 season should be expected by some pioneering individuals somewhere. It can't be too hard to adjust the current set, most players are named, just need to advance status and replace the seniors with incoming freshman.

Nebraska won the B1G Championship with an incredible shutout for the 2nd time in as many games.  The shutout was in large part to OSU having their top 2 QBs injured, and the 3rd stringer left pissing down his leg. OSU had less than 100 yards of total offense for the game.
