Unfortunately Week 7 should have featured two very good user games (GA Tech vs Ohio State and Nebraska vs Michigan State) however both MSU and OSU are on auto-pilot.  Truth and EDJ, you guys can play the CPU whenever you have time.

Will do. If Squirrel ends up near a console, I'm fine with wiping the game and playing it. (Hope the CPU doesn't destroy me).

Week 7 Open Top150 MLB A.J. Lane
#1 MLB (#29 Overall)
Like a Star @ heaven Like a Star @ heaven Like a Star @ heaven Like a Star @ heaven Like a Star @ heaven
Kansas City, MO (Rockhurst)

A.J. hails from the same high school that produced Huskers product, Michael Rose at OLB.  The stud LB was playing coy through the early part of the season keeping the Ohio State Buckeyes at #1 on his list despite never receiving an offer. He then committed on the spot after seeing the Huskers defense demolish Penn State. The LB lacks top end speed, but has explosion in his first steps, and is a tackling machine.  However, he is not guaranteed to start with two young, highly heralded recruits sit on the roster just waiting for the same opportunity to open after David Santos leaves for the NFL.

Week 7 Open Top150 MLB Ken Blanco
#9 MLB (#86 Overall)
Like a Star @ heaven Like a Star @ heaven Like a Star @ heaven Like a Star @ heaven
Bay Minette, AL (Baldwin County)

Blanco signed on the exact same visit as Lane. A surprising move considering the amount of competition he'll face at MLB. More of a run stopper, Blanco faces a definite redshirt season. A move to OLB is also in the cards to balance depth. Surprisingly, hometown Alabama and Auburn never offered. Alabama was in hot pursuit of Lane though.

Week 7 Open Top150 DT Martin King
#4 DT (#99 Overall)
Like a Star @ heaven Like a Star @ heaven Like a Star @ heaven Like a Star @ heaven
North Logan, UT (Logan)

Nebraska entered the season with 3 positions needing filled. MLB, DT, and Kicker. King fills the second need committing on the same trip as Lane and Blanco. Expect King to be a disruptive force in the middle of the offensive line stopping the run game. A likely red-shirt candidate if the Huskers can secure the commitment of fellow DT Jacob Ridgeway (#2 (#39)). Utah State was the only other school King entertained an offer from, but the entire Big Ten was on his list it appears.

UCLA just lost a heartbreaker 45-42 to Cal. Ugh I just choked.

At least I figured out my offense, I was scoring at will. But defense still sucks ass.

Week 7:
#2 USC vs #22 Washington
#2 USC Blows out #22 Washington 42-7 adding six sacks and countless dropped interceptions. Max Browne has a huge comeback game going 26 for 33, with 394 passing Yards while adding 4TDs, and 1Int. Up next for the #2 Trojans is Missouri, who is no joke as they have very talented Wide Receivers and a great Head Coach. Fight on!

USC Receives its FIRST Commit:
Picutred below is 6'2 290Lb Kevin Day, who is rated a 4 star prospect out of Washington and is #9 Guard in the nation has pledged his commitment to the Trojans. Kevin will most likely redshirt his first year but is a huge add as Coach Pete Carrol tries to rebuild this once proud team.

AL - 52 TxAM - 31

After losing two games by a total of 6 points, The Crimson Tide got back to their winning ways by traveling to College Station and beating the Aggies 52 - 31. It was a back and forth game with the score tied at 31 heading in the fourth quarter. Alabama was able to run the ball at will and M. Davis was giving the AL defense fits.

The Bama defense stepped up in the fourth by forcing a punt on a crucial drive, recovering a fumble on the next drive and shutting out the TxAM offense.

The story of the game was the Alabama offense, which ended the game scoring 21 unanswered points. The Alabama offense did not punt the ball once, scored on every drive, and did not turn the ball over. Coach Anderson challenged his team to stop playing "cute" and do what we do best: RUN THE BALL! Our offensive line and running backs answered the call by racking up 517 yards and 7 TDs on the ground, along with two RBs rushing for over 130 yards each. Our offense also went 9-10 on third down, with the one third down we missed resulting in a FG. As usual we had an extreme advantage in time of possession (19:37 to 8:23) and we took full advantage of it.

Our goal right now is to run the table, win the SEC West, SEC Championship and see if that's good enough to get us in a BCS Bowl (hopefully the championship). We have a huge out of conference game ahead vs. Nebraska but for now we'll take things one game at a time.

 MichiganState Sparty No! Nebraska
Week 7 Open NCA14PS3_133_GR_JPEG_SCREENSHOT_Bmb
Huskers walk away from their vaunted matchup with #1 Michigan State with a victory.  It's crazy how good both units defenses were.  MSU had the 4th ranked rush defense.  NU had the 1st ranked rush defense, 4th ranked total defense, and 13th ranked scoring defense.
The score is incredibly misleading considering the game felt like the grind between incredibly strong defensive units it was supposed to be.  The Huskers managed 3 plays of 20 yards or longer. One on the ground, and two through the air. Five players had receptions, but had less than 10 yards receiving, and nobody averaged over 10 yards receiving if that can somehow illustrate how aggressive MSU's defense is. With a ferocious pass rush, Touchdown Turnover Tommy was checking down immediately with zero results to show for it much of the game. The hilarious stat is five different Huskers scored rushing TDs. After an early fumble, Armstrong was benched, and Bobby Hale led the team on the teams first scoring drive. But inaccuracy throwing by Hale forced Armstrong back into the game.
MSU threatened early, but an early interception by Connor Cook seemed to derail his confidence, and make him question his arm through the entire game. He threw the ball away 6 times right after the snap and it didn't matter what I was doing, blitzing, man, or zone. WTF.
Visiting 5* Athlete Dane Ross got his wish as well, as Nebraska was able to gain 250 yards passing (just barely). Maybe that will sway him to don a Nebraska cap come signing day. Both Michigan State and Nebraska sit #1 and #2 on his top 3 respectively. MSU held a consistent 225 point lead entering the game despite Nebraska carrying 15 extra bonus points each week. The recruiting points should add a 1710 point bonus on top of regular weekly points to possibly tip the scale. Ross isn't supposed to visit MSU until week 14, a long wait for the ADD generation. Maybe he'll commit early. Wink

Mizzou comes back from 14 down to beat Georgia.

Corbin Berkstresser (27/39 for 334, 2 TDs, 1 INT) was solid in relief of the injured Maty Mauk, completing passes to NINE different receivers. But the game ball goes to HB Russell Hansbrough for a monster game by the 5th year senior -- 25 carries, 142 yards, and 4 TDs.

Next up: No. 2 USC.

Iowa Wins Another Thriller 31-28 Over Wisconsin

The Hawkeyes aren't sneaking up on anyone this season and they are receiving everyone's best punches when they meet.  This week was no different as the Hawkeyes needed another last minute drive to pull out the victory over Wisconsin.  Trailing 28-23 late in the game Coach Steel Pitt put the ball in his third string QB's hands (JUCO transfer Chris Simpson) to lead the team down for the go ahead score.  Simpson rewarded the coach for that trust and lead the team down the field on a drive capped by Mike Malloy's 1 yard TD plunge.  Malloy's 2 point conversion accounted for the final score of 31-28.  The Hawkeyes travel to Maryland to take on the Terps in a rematch of last season's B1G Championship Game.
