Season 2: Pre-Season

This will be the only thread for pre-season games.
48-ish hour advances in pre-season.

Week 1: Ends Monday night. Approx 9 pm Central
Week 2: Ends Wednesday night.
Week 3: Ends Friday night.
Week 4: Ends Sunday night.

Free Agency is wide open. No restrictions now.

Nothing to really speak of regarding the Steelers draft, but Steel Rooney and the rest of the organization was very pleased with the free agent signings (pre-draft).  WR Jeremy Maclin, CB Aqib Talib, MLB DJ Williams and FS Kenny Phillips will all start and play pivotal roles this season and for seasons to come.  However, if I had to single out one player as the most important signing I would go with FS Kenny Phillips since that was the one position where I really had zero backup plan and did not want to have to rely on the 29th pick in the draft to fill that void.

My draft was shit. The only thing I came away with is a developmental QB who fits my system.
I didn't get my main target in free agency but I'm happy with the signings of Eric Decker & Alex Mack. Decker completes my WR corps (Wallace & Mike Thomas for speed, Decker & Hartline for possession) and Mack was moved to RG and will be a quality starter.

I planned on keeping Rivers as the starter but I really like my rookie QB Connor Shaw. He's rated in the 60s but he has 80 speed and I want to run the read option so badly!

Did we decided to put injuries on or off for the pre-season?

I didn't get the guys I wanted, but I ended up with Tajh Boyd and a decent FS. Boyd will battle it out against Bradford in the Preseason.

I'm hoping they are off. If not, guys that don't want to play preseason need to go on auto.

You can sub in Shaw in your read option formations, give yourself another offensive wrinkle.

Keep in mind you tip off what you're doing in subbing him in though. Spoils the surprise if the defense is paying attention. Like when shooter would sub in Vince Young for Rodgers to run read option. Game 1, I saw it coming and it went nowhere. He still ran read option in the playoffs, but with Rodgers and it caught me off guard for big gains. (Don't get any ideas guys )

FYI I planned on advancing 10 minutes ago, but my console is not signing into PSN for me. It's saying my email address is incorrect, despite my phone signing in just fine. WTF.

If there are any fine troubleshooters with experience on this issue, I'm all ears. Searching the interwebs now.

This happened to me as well.  I went to PSN Help Desk and the guy walked me thru it online.  I kept getting an error message saying the email address was not recognized (or something like that).  I think the guy said someone tried to hack my account and that I should change the password every so often.  I believe he reset my password and I had to go change it again then.

Thanks. I went there once already. The scary thing is, my phone is logging in just fine So obviously my email and password is correct. So I don't get it.

Disregard my previous nonsense. The system finally let me reset my password after not recognizing my email. Advancing any moment now. 

Week 2 of preseason considered open.

Wow man had over 20 thousand xp with Jimmy Graham and Alfred Morris. I was about to upgrade their speed and accidentally pressed automatically upgrade smh

You really seem to have a problem with that Square button don't you? 

Public warning issued to crown royal. Sent a PSN message with no response, and he's been on in the last two hours. With 2 posts since joining the franchise, he's yet to be active. If no response before advance tomorrow, he will be booted from the league.

Bengals and Colts are on "hot seats" as well to be cut.

FYI, I'll be out of town for the holiday and won't return until Sunday in case any of my pre-season opponents are trying to get in touch with me.

I'll put myself on auto-pilot before I leave.

Week 3 of Pre-Season is open.
Moving right along, crownroyal has willingly left the franchise. I've messaged kryptonick10 to see if he's going to show up.

ChampJezusBailey would like to move to his beloved Broncos. The move would fill the AFC West, and empty the AFC South, as I'm willing to bet the Colts will be getting the boot.  I'd hate to have an empty division, but if a person's favorite team is open, it's not fair to restrict them from playing with that team.  Is anyone opposed to this? I've started trying to recruit a bit more to fill the empty teams. Sound off.

I don't mind if he comes to the west. We had an overtime thriller and some friendly words exchanged after. Makings of a good rivalry.

I say if it is his favorite team, he has to get it and then we just have to recruit to see if we can fill the south. With the start of season 2, timing for movement is right.

I would vote no because they're stacked and unfit for human control but that's unfair

Ill move to afc south if I get the titans and ill ask harleyboss if he wants to come in for the texans

Yes I would greatly prefer to use my Broncos and going into a full division of active owners is a nice bonus too. As it is alone in the AFC South I would have at least 6 CPU games by default, nothing fun about that.

Broncos are a good team but I think the Texans are pretty good too.

In one of the most exciting preseason games in NFL history, the San Diego Chargers top the Minnesota Vikings in OT. 

It was a back-and-forth battle all game with the Vikings taking a 38-35 lead with under 30 seconds left. Chargers WR Junior Hemingway then drew a Pass Interference call at the Vikings 20-yard line as time expired, giving the Bolts a chance to tie the game.

In OT, the Chargers won the game 44-38 with a TD pass from rookie QB Connor Shaw to TE Ladarius Green. Shaw, who threw 13-for-21, 243 yards, and 2 TD passes, showed great poise and will be the future of the franchise.

Week 4 of Preseason open. Regular season will open Sunday.

AFC Users, hope you like a CPU team in the playoffs. I've made some recruiting efforts. But this late in the year is difficult to find people.

Hey EDJ, Me and wolf465 had a game planned at 7 but he had to pull an extra shift so he wants you to put him on auto so I can play the CPU!
