2016 Season: Week 10
Woooooooh. With two major losses by top 10 teams, it looks like my Huskers are a top 10 team again! And they didn't even play this week! Now I get to clench tight as Nebraska finishes the season against much better teams than the cupcakes they beat up on earlier. Now if only my Bears could follow the example set by the Cubs and Blackhawks and become a premier team again. Fuck you Brian Hoyer.
Hippo has a friend who make look to join the league. They haven't played a user vs user game in years. But more bodies are better than facing the CPU.
Yt continues to be undefeated as the undermanned Colts still find favor with the Madden Gods. If the playoffs started today, the CPU Seahawks would be a #2 seed in the NFC. Double you Tee Eff. As commish, I think it's best to not allow a CPU team to make the playoffs. That's just me though. The CPU Chiefs would be a wildcard team in the AFC at this point.
After sitting 3-1, Chicago has lost 4 straight. All four NFC North teams sit in the bottom half of the league records-wise. The NFC South teams are all within 1 game of each other. If any division is sending three teams to the playoffs, it's the AFC South.

Rivalry matchups are always interesting, especially when two friends share a division. On paper, the Jaguars are the clear favorites. But this is a coach in Chip Chipperson who went for a chip shot field goal a year ago and missed, giving the underdog a surprise victory. Does Landa have any magic left over to stage another upset?
Week advances no later than Wednesday night.

The Jags win a tough game at home against the Houston Texans, 28-20 in a thriller. Jacksonville fumbled 3 times in the first half (2 lost) and threw an int as well, but the defense played excellent football. Another lost fumble to start the second half had the team sinking. Down 21-14, Braxton Miller beat man coverage with less then a minute left to score, but Jacksonville would block the extra point and recover the onside kick to seal it.

Eagles 24 - Falcons 20
The Eagles defeated the visiting Falcons 24-20 at Lincoln Financial Field to stop their two game skid and move to 7-2 on the season. Backup QB Chase Daniels was serviceable and led a late fourth quarter TD drive to finally wrestle the lead from Atlanta. The drive was heavily aided by a roughing the kicker penalty when the Eagles were punting on 4th and long as the penalty enabled the Eagles to extend the drive and continue for the go ahead score.

Beckham leads 2nd half explosion
The stars looked like they all came out to play early in this one. After a Giants FG, ODB got behind the defense on the next possession for an 87 yard touchdown to make it 10-0.
AJ Green answered, scoring a touchdown to end the first, and another with 30 seconds left in the half. A Giants field goal closed the gap to make it 14-13 Bengals.
The 2nd half was all New York as a Jennings TD run gave them the lead. Two more Beckham TDs put it out of reach in the 4th, the dagger coming on a 23 yard connection with 2:33 on the clock. Giants win 35-14.
Eli - 20/27, 298yds, 3TDs
Beckham 8/226, 3TD
Rodgers Cromartie added 3 picks and helped the Giants lock down the Cinci offense for most of the game.

Ideally I would like to see all Users occupying those playoffs spots, but I wouldn't force CPU/CPU game losses for the Seahawks (if that's what you're suggesting). Yes, it would suck to see a CPU team in the playoffs but I don't think a User should essentially be given a playoff spot. Also, the CPU Seahawks have beaten users on the way so they wouldn't be an automatic win for a user in the playoffs either. Jmo, but I'd rather see a CPU in the playoffs that earned the division title by essentially playing the same schedule as two user division mates then to see anyone (user or CPU) handed a playoff spot.

That might have been his first 100 yard game too. The 87 yarder was aided by a 40-50 yard Hail Mary before half. Decided it was time to unleash the deep passing attack

Vikings win a back and forth game against the CPU Redskins after rookie Josh Docston takes the first play from scrimmage to the house on a bomb through broken coverage. After what looked like another wonderful Madden start to a terrible game, it evened out and was a fun game. Peterson got on track towards the end of the game but with McKinnon scoring twice and repeatedly making big plays, he'll be cutting into AP's touches in the very near future.

Logan Thomas' Chicago Bears debut was exceeding expectations. His throws were on point, and more accurate than Cutler and Hoyer had been all year. Heading into the 4th quarter, Thomas led the Bears on a scoring drive to pull within 3 of the Buccaneers. The Bears defense made the necessary stop, and Thomas took the field looking to get in field goal range and send things to overtime.
Instead he found himself on the IR with a knee cartilage tear. The Buccaneers had 4 Sacks and 2 Forced Fumbles on the final five plays of the game. Gerald McCoy and Co. were busting through the line faster than the old nano blitzes of Madden's past. With Thomas hurt, Connor Shaw dropped back and was instantly sacked/stripped every time. He didn't throw a single ball due to a a 4 man rush destroying the Bears interior offensive line (95 Pass Block Josh Sitton are you kidding me?!)
Chicago continues to tumble and now sit at 3-5. Their worst record in my history as a Madden user.

lol
I don't mean to laugh at your pain but I couldn't help but laugh as I read the write-up. I could only imagine finally getting decent QB play only to see Thomas get hurt and head to the IR and then see Shaw drop back and get sacked/stripped/pressured etc on every drop back. I've definitely had series where I drop back 3 times and get sacked 3 times en route to a quick 3 and out. Those are frustrating as hell.

Cowboys win a defensive struggle against the Steelers, 21-7.
Lag was a major factor throughout the game, causing missed FGs, shanked punts and even kickoffs out of bounds for both teams.
Dallas looked like it had this one in hand after punching it in with Alfred Morris for a 7-yard TD to take a 13-0 lead with 3:41 left in the fourth. But the Steelers would strike back with a methodical drive that ended in an Antonio Brown TD. They then stuffed the Cowboys on three straight runs to get the ball back with just about a minute and a half left.
Both offenses had a rough night. The Cowboys managed just 166 yards of total offense. The Steelers had 214.
But the Cowboys D had the final say, returning a fumble for a TD after the Steelers got the ball back late in the 4th.
Dallas improves to 6-3 with the win, while the Steelers fell to 4-5.
But there was some bad news for Dallas: Rookie sensation Ezekiel Elliott went down with a shoulder tear and will miss the next 3 weeks.
Next up for Dallas: the (1-7) Baltimore Ravens

It would have been even better if you would have hooked the former Steelers owner up by taking Elliot out for the rest of the regular season as I still have another game vs the Cowboys.
