2017 Season - Week 16 Open

Madden got a patch? In a completely unexpected move, EA patched some nano blitzes and lobby glitches from the game that became apparent during their Madden tournament. It looks bad when the devs are putting on a tourney and all the players are exploiting their code.

I didn't watch the tourney, so I don't what was being done to screw with people.  Don't expect anything new from EA until Madden 17 launches.

 

Just two games remaining for everyone and here is where we stand.

AFC

Jets get the #6 seed over the Browns by virtue of having a better Conference Record.

Tie-breakers:

Cowboys get the NFC East over the Redskins by virtue of alphabetical order since both teams split their season series, have the same Division Record and the same Conference Record.
Cowboys get the #1 seed over the Bears by virtue of having a better Conference Record.
Eagles gets the #6 seed over the Packers by virtue of having a better Conference Record.

Chicago Bears (13-1) vs Dallas Cowboys (13-1)

This is the Game of the Week in the AALoA and deservedly so.  The winner of this game is still in the running for the #1 seed but not guaranteed as the Redskins are still lurking at 13-1 also.  Because of that fact, this game may mean more to the Cowboys than the Bears.  The Bears still have the upper hand for #2 seed and a first round bye but a loss for the Cowboys could mean them falling to the #5 seed, no bye week and a road game in the Wild Card Round.  RB Hogan for the Bears has been a beast and is on pace to set rookie rushing records for yards and TD as he leads the league in rushing.  The Cowboys are led by QB Tony Romo who continues to climb the all-time passing lists.  With all the potential fireworks on offense this game could come down to who makes the most plays on defense.

NY Jets (8-6) vs Tampa Bay Bucs (6- 8 )

Jolly St. Nick purchased the NY Jets mid-season and has put the franchise in position to make the playoffs for the first time since 2010 (I think).  The Bucs, led by third year QB Jameis Winston, continues to show improvement year after year and find themselves on the cusp of making it to the NFL's second season.  With the Browns management going awol, there could be some wiggle room for the Jets if they do suffer a loss, but the same can not be said for the Bucs who still need help to get in even if they win out.

Hopefully the participants in these games will post the streaming information when these games take place.

We're going to shoot for tonight around 10 est so I will try to remember to post something on this thread that we're playing

I'll try and remember to post a link, but I am preferring to stream on YouTube much more than on Twitch, even though I keep updating the twitch info on the original post. Everything is auto-archived indefinitely on YouTube, and the AALoA page I stream from is a sub account tied to my regular Google account, so that I can keep this stuff separate from my personal stuff.

Join the club.  Season 1 I finished 14-2 ... my two losses were to the 15-1 Browns in my division.  The second best regular season record and my reward was a Wild Card playoff game on the road, lol.

What is a catch? The NFL still doesn't know. Did Dez make a "football move" or show possession? For the record, the Bears say yes, obviously.  In a defensive standoff, neither team wanted to budge.

Taylor Hogan was bottled up by the stalwart DEs of the Cowboys.  Mettenberger consistently had to check down his passes to avoid a sack from the rush specialists. Mettenberger must look like Hardy's ex-girlfriend.

A scoreless 3rd quarter gave way to a furious 4th quarter finish. Tony Romo would find Jason Witten to put the Cowboys up 14-6. The Bears would answer as Rayshon Hightower would haul in a catch at the 1. Taylor Hogan would get the TD on a sweep.  From there, it was a clusterfuck.  Dez Bryant would receive a catch and immediately fumble it. The Cowboys would get itty bitty CB Byron Jones to press and stonewall the giant WR Alshon Jeffery, then outleap him for a pick.  Dez Bryant would again take a ball on a crossing route and immediately fumble it.

Entering overtime, the Bears would get their TE in single coverage against a safety with 2 left feet. The safety stumbled, and Hightower was off to the races giving the Bears the game and the inside track to the #1 seed (hopefully?)

Steelers defeat the rival Ravens 31-21, thanks to 143 yards rushing by Le'Veon Bell, to move to 12-3 on the season.  With losses by the Chiefs and Browns earlier in the day, the Steelers clinched the AFC North title as well as clinched at least the #3 seed in the AFC.

Still waiting for Buccaneers to be alive. I've been on all 3 days trying to play just waiting on him. I don't know what else to do I'm just letting it be known so I don't get boned over a game that's crucial.
