Online Franchise Roster Changes

I'll be making a few changes to my Bears roster before we start the franchise.

I'm moving Shea McLellin from OLB to MLB where he's slotted to start.
I'm moving Sam Acho from MLB to OLB where EA really goofed up.
I'm moving Cornelius Washington from OLB to DE. He put on 20 lbs this offseason and is now 285. EA never bothered to update him.

EA lists Bear Pascoe as Chicago's FB. I'm contemplating moving him back to his natural TE spot and using a filler player at FB as I intend not to use a FB this year. Pascoe probably won't make my team, and I don't want him out of position for the rest of the league if they want to pick him up.

If you have any changes needing to be made, please let me know ASAP. Make sure they're official changes. Not just wants.

Secondly, I'll be turning Default Injuries off. Madden had a glitch last year where the players couldn't play, and you couldn't release them. I'd rather avoid further issues at all cost.

When are we intending to start this bad boy up?

I'm thinking this weekend. I believe Sunday is the next big day for NFL roster cuts? We can then have a more realistic roster.

Do we want to think about waiting another week?  This way we can get the official 53 man roster as final cuts will be in.  Plus, that will give everyone a chance to pick up the game and give us an extra week to recruit and hopefully get another user or two or three ...

Just a thought.

(FYI, I'm away this weekend so depending exactly when you start I may miss Week 1.)

Yup. I think it's best to push the start of this just a bit since some of these fixes can't just be hot-fixed on EA's server.

EA is expected to patch Madden this week. Pending Sony and Microsoft certification.

I doubt EA will have a proper 53 man roster released by then. I will be looking for a custom roster set, that does not touch player ratings to use in its place, and making the listed adjustments above. Such as moving Bear Pascoe back to TE as the Bears cut his ass, and that's his actual position.

Please post any player changes we need to edit, and link to a source showing the change to back everything up.
Please request any missing players, like undrafted free agents so we can see about adding any missing players.

Bears cut RT Jordan Mills. They intend to start Kyle Long at RT instead of RG now. I will be flexing him outside.

I see you uploaded a custom roster file "AALoAFADraft" according to the Free Agent Draft thread.  Is it safe to assume that is the roster file base we'll be using to start the league?  

If so, I'll take a look tonight and compare the Steelers roster on that file to the actual final 53 man roster to see what Steelers changes need to be made.

I'll probably just pass on my FA draft picks as I'll just be satisfied starting with an accurate starting 53 man roster.  That is, of course, until Week 2 or 3 when I realize that my D needs a whole lot of help in the back end, lol.

If EA drops an official roster, I'll use that because the Bears are missing MLB Timu and WR Meredith. The uploaded roster has a number of players that are Punters that actually play other positions, but the roster creator couldn't remove the players.

But the free agents should as close to accurate as can be. I haven't heard of any big moves.

I just downloaded the AALoAFADraft Roster set that we plan to use for the start of the season and the Steelers roster looks fine.

Can you make one change though?

We recently signed RB Jordan Todman.  Can you add him to my roster and you can release RB Ross Scheurman who did not even make the final 75 man roster cut as an undrafted FA.  I believe Todman is currently on the Panthers roster according to your roster set.

Other than that I think I'm set.
