Huge, HUge, HUGE week in Oregon State nation, as 5 recruits committed after the wild Arizona State game. And they were some great signings. OSU debuts on the Recruuting Nation rankings for the first time this year, and sit at #6 in the nation all of a sudden.
MLB Casey Mark
#1 MLB (#10 Ovr)
With two really good MLBs on the roster already, Mark can afford to sit a year if needed. But it might be hard to keep him off the field with his skillset. 90 Acceleration, 92 Tackle.
DE E.J. Bell
#2 DE (#46 Ovr)
The Beavers lose 3 DE's this year. While they technically have depth, the scheme change doesn't necessarily fit the current defensive line roster. Expect Bell to get a long look as a potential day 1 starter as a true freshman. All 80s ratings in Acceleration, Power Moves, Finesse Moves, Block Shedding, Pursuit, and Hit Power
OT Eric Hill
#7 OT (#201 Ovr)
OSU already has their LT of the future red-shirting. Hill comes in to either battle for a starting RT spot, or sit a year due to depth and start as a redshirt the following year. 89 Acceleration, all 80s in Blocking and Strength
OLB Chad White
#15 OLB (#267 Ovr)
Hometown Oregon kid stays home. The Beavers don't have a single Senior at LB, expect White to sit a year due to depth issues, and class balancing issues (3 JRs at OLB) 80s Speed, 91 Acc, 80s Pursuit, Zone Coverage, Block Shedding.
CB Shaun Ellis
#117 CB (#1381 Ovr)
Three quality Senior CBs leave Beaverton this year. Ellis won't be a top starter, and depending on his 3 years of eligibility, might still have a redshirt to use. Otherwise, expected to be a Dime only CB. Mid 80s in Man/Zone

In his first career start, true freshman QB Travis McKinley led the Crimson Tide to a road victory over Arkansas. The reviews are mixed but the outlook is optimistic as McKinley threw two INTS, and fumbled twice (losing both). One int came at the end of the 1st half on a hail mary, so we can forgive that one. The other TO's where totally avoidable and McKinley has to make better differences. He reminds us of Chris Phillips as freshman, which means we will have to bring him along slowly in terms of running the entire playbook. Phillips had the benefit of sharing duties with Alec Morris, but we will not have that luxury next year with McKinley.
That being said, we are confident that we have found our QB of the future, as he led the offense up and down the field with ease. Remove the 5 turnovers and we left at least 28 points on the board, which would bring us to our season average. As McKinley's passing improves, as well as his awareness, we are potentially looking at Chris Phillips Jr. We did have three player's with over 100 yards rushing, and +11 carries, along with another 100 yard receiving game from Quincy Bates.
The defense was solid again and added another INT to our NCAA leading total. Unfortunately our TO +/- will take a hit with the 5 offensive TO's but we are still happy with things on defense. We definitely have a national championship type of defense taking the field every week.
RECRUITING UPDATE
As with last year, we are getting off to a "slow" start in terms of getting commitments. We are sticking with the recruiting plan we have used the last two years (which led to back-to-back #1 recruiting classes) and we are right on schedule as far as we are concerned. We have 10 recruits coming to visit next week, and we would love to get as many of them signed after the game as possible, so we can focus our priorities (and recruiting points) elsewhere.
Next Up: Tennessee
Players of the Week
Offense: Jeremy Brown, HB, 21 Car, 225 Yards, 2 TD
Defense: Pete Hayes, 6 Tkls, TFL, Int

Hey Pitt, Ken's been nowhere to be found via the forum or PSN. If you want to Auto-Pilot him I'll play the game before advance tonight.

Hmm so, NCAA won't let me play our game, Pitt. Says you're not on auto.
I'm probably just gonna call it a night. I can play tomorrow night, if you're OK extending the week, otherwise we can just sim it.

It all came down to this...
And another crazy finish in Beaverton. And again OSU had recruits in the house getting drenched to see the spectacle. The recruits weren't prime targets, but still notable were an Athlete able to play QB, RB, WR, or DB, a TE, and a Kicker with a cannon for a leg to replace the struggling Freshman walk-on next year (hopefully).
Somehow the receiver fumbles the catch. Game. 34-28 Beavers in the Orange/Black/Orange ensemble this week.
