Conference Championship Week Open

We capped off regular season recruiting by snagging the lock down CB that we've coveted in Eric Mitchell. His ratings of 92 Man Coverage and 88 Zone Coverage fit perfectly with our defensive philosophy and we can't wait to have him on campus. We also signed the top DT in the state of Alabama and an ESPNU Top 150 WR. 

I think it's safe to say we have back-to-back #1 recruiting classes as we lead in 5 star and 4 star recruits by a comfortable margin. There are 2-3 targets that we hope to snatch in the offseason, but that's always a crap shoot. I thought I liked last year's class, but this year's class is phenomenal. 

This senior class has solidified another great achievement by winning four straight SEC Championships. This game was won by a combination of tough D and offensive execution. It also guarantees our seniors a fourth straight trip to the BCS championship game where it looks like we will hopefully get to redeem ourselves of last year's terrible showing against Nebraska. 

Chris Phillips capped off a monumental season by breaking the 1,000 yard rushing mark to go along with 3,291 Passing yards, 39 passing TDs, and 33 rushing TDs. So excited to have him for one more season hopefully. Either way he already has had a hall-of-fame career. Not to be out done, Tyren Jones, who is leading the nation in rushing yards, is 48 yards from breaking the 2,000 yard rushing mark and Chris Gray now has back-to-back 1,000 yard receiving seasons. On defense Tim Williams added to his NCAA leading tackle total and Kicker Matthew Johnson broke the 100 Touchbacks on Kickoffs mark.
