Ladies and Gentleman, the editors at SB Nation's own Royals Review here to introduce you to the new owner of the Kansas City Royals in the AALoA. A man with a pedigree of success, the_EDJ looks to make the Royals a contender in the same vein as what he's been able to do with the Chicago Bears in AALoA's Madden league (4+ Super Bowl appearances), and Nebraska Cornhuskers (3 National Titles) in their NCAA Football league. What's up folks, I tried to get Emma Stone to lip sing her rendition of the intro, but she was busy, and I'd seemingly gotten on her bad side somehow, and you don't mess with Emma Stone when she gets angry.

But getting back to business, many of you may not know me now, you can refer to me as EDJ, Eric, Edge, or Jackass. Whatever floats your boat really. I enter the coming season with my eyes wide open. I know football, but growing up, I've been a Cubs fan, and they're a terrible team to follow for tips on how to run a team. Unlike Theo and Jed on the north side, I'm inheriting a team in win now mode. With eyes set on a deep playoff run, we'll have our ear to the ground listening for any trade opportunities to help get us over the hump and make the Royals relevant again. Namely we'll need quality starting pitching.

We've got our ace at pitcher in Shields, with a young flame thrower rising quickly in Ventura. We've got the big bats in Big Hosmer, Butler, and Gordon, and we've got some speed sprinkled in as well.

On the fashion front, we're transitioning to powder blues as our de facto jersey, for both home and away. Get used to it. I won't be taking questions now, but should you leave any, I'll try and answer them later. Peace.
