Week 2 matchup
Vikings 31 - Colts 42
Key Performers-
Colts:
Andrew Luck - 13 of 16 for 231 yards, 3tds and 1 int.
Aaron Hernandez - 5 catches for 103 yards, 1 td
Drayton Florence - big game changing pick six
Vikings:
Percy Harvin - 6 catches for 143 yards, 2tds and 1 kick return for td
Christian Ponder - 11 for 19 for 192 yards, 2tds and 2 ints
Game Summary:
In the week leading up to the game, the hype was all about the "battle of two top rbs". But Steven Jackson and Adrain Peterson just couldn't get it going. Both defenses were stubborn, holding both backs under 3.3 yards a carry. As it turned out, this actually was a battle of young QBs. Luck came top on fire in the first half, hitting his tandem of young athletic TEs, Hernandez and Fleener for first downs and touchdowns. Percy Harvin would add his swag to the end of the half with a 104 yard kick return to the house making it 21-17 Colts at the half.
The second half Colts CB Florence's pick six was a game changer, putting Ponder in a deep hole. Colts rbs Steven Jackson and Donald Brown would add tds of their own. Putting colts up big going into the 4th quarter. Then Ponder and Harvin went off, hooking up for 2 late tds in under 2 mins. But after two successful onside kicks, the Vikings push was too little too late. And the Colts came out victorious.
Looking ahead to week 3 matchup with Jags, reporters asked Donald Brown now he felt about Jackson getting all the carries, he stated, " I'm more than just a 3rd down back, play me or trade me." Coach McNeil, was made aware of Browns comments, and stated "my goal is to have Jackson and Brown be a, thunder and lighting tandem. Brown will get more reps this week with the first team, and we will go from there. But for now we are 2-0 and looking to get better one week at a time."

Week 5 matchup
Packers 21- Colts 35
Key Performers-
Colts:
Andrew Luck - 14 of 19 for 265 yards, 1 td, 1 rushing td and 1 int.
Steven Jackson - 21 rushes for 139, 2 tds.
Aaron Hernandez - 3 catches for 107 yards
Reggie Wayne - 2 catches for 70 yards, 1 td.
Jerrod Powers- big game changing pick six
Packers:
Aaron Rodgers - 19 of 31 for 337 yards, 3 tds and 3 int.
Greg Jennings - 7 catches for 199 yards, 1 td.
Roy Helu Jr. - 6 catches for 61 yards, 2 tds.
Game Summary:
Coming off a much needed bye week the Colts host a powerhouse offense, led by one of the best quarterbacks in the game. Colts gameplan was to get off to a fast start. A shootout with Rodgers is not what the coach wanted but that's what he got. In the first quarter, was all Luck. Rushing for one touchdown and passing for one too. Second quarter, was all Rodgers. Hitting Helu back the backfield in the flats and on a huge screen play. Making the score at halftime 14-14.
After halftime, Stephen Jackson took it upon his self to be the closer the Colts needed. Running for first down after first down to control the clock and keep the ball out of Rodgers deadly hands. At the end of the 3rd quarter, with the score 28-14, going into the 4th quarter Rodgers would force a few passing leading to turnovers. After a pick six by Powers, the Colts would all but surely get the win. Final score 35-21
Colts coach McNeil said in the post game interview, " feels good to be 4-0 but we got a long season and these young guys need to stay focused. One game at a time is how we take it. But I guarantee the fans this, no more first overall picks, and no more 2- 14 seasons.
