Raiders vs Saints

Defense shows up big

Week 1 saw the new look Oakland Raiders on the Road vs the New Orleans Saints. In a defensive battle by both sides (253 yards total for Raiders and 177 for Saints) the Raiders were able to score the game winning Rushing Touchdown by Chris Ivory(his second of the game) with 1:01 left. The Saints got the ball back for one more chance but David Amerson picked off an out route vs the dangerous Brandin Cooks to clinch the game.

Raiders defense showed out by keeping the Saints out of the end zone the whole game(allowing two field goals and one fumble recovery TD), while adding in two sacks and two ints by David Amerson.
