2016 Season - Week 12 Open

Post is coming. Just got sidetracked last night, and have a family event early today.

The Tennessee Titans posted a furious 14 point fourth quarter rally sparked by a Chandler Jones sack that forced a late Bears punt. Receiving the ball in Overtime, the Bears exerted their will with a long drive, capped off by a Jeremy Langford TD rush.  Both Kevin White and Eddie Royal cleared the century mark in receiving yards.

CPU A-a-ron must have a h-a-a-rd on for the Vikings because he was damn near unstoppable, throwing 27-32, 336 yds and 4 TD's.  With stats like that you're probably thinking damn the Vikings got routed.  Nooooooot so fast.  Teddy himself went 18-23, 353 yds and 2 TD's with AP and Murray running for 130 yds and 3 TD's combined.  With both defenses looked like high school JV squad, it was definitely a shootout.  With the Packers up 7, driving for a FG to put it out of reach with under 3 minutes left, a strip sack and recovery would give the Vikes life.  Marching down and scoring a TD with 27 seconds left, the game would head into OT.  After the men in purple received the ball, they would get the ball down the field ending up with a 4th and 5 just outside of FG range.  With Zimmer being unable to buy boxers cause his balls don't fit, he decided to go for it and roll the dice.  Teddy would roll out and miss a WIDE open Bridges.  Ugh.  The Vikings D would finally show up, stopping the Packers on their next drive forcing a punt.  AP was gassed, Teddy was tired and it was time to drive downfield 1 more time. Remembering the last time AP was gassed, fumbling on the 1 yd line costing a hard fought game against the Texans, the Vikings would lean on Latavious Murray moving the ball into scoring range with Walsh securing the game with a short FG.  Whew.  Vikings 38 Packers 35.

I hate CPU A-a-ron.

Steelers Edge Cowboys 22-21 In Thriller

After giving up a late score that saw the Cowboys take a 21-14 lead with under 4 minutes, the Steelers took over hoping to make one last drive to win or at least extend the game.  Before the first play of the drive was called Owner Steel Rooney, standing on the sidelines, asked his daughter what she would do if the team scored a TD on this drive.  Go for 1 and OT or go for 2 and the win?  Without hesitation she said ... "Go for the win Daddy".

Sure enough, the Steelers drove down the field and score a TD with under 30 seconds remaining.  Coach Tomlin, on orders form Steel Rooney, had the team line up for 2.  Out of the shotgun, Big Ben dropped back and found TE Coby Fleener across the end zone line for the 2 and a one point lead.  CB Antoine Cason sealed the win on the ensuing drive with an INT.

Skins beat Eagles 35-20. Eagles controlled the clock with the running game and their defense was stout against the run but could not stop the big play as QB McGhee throws 5 TDs with at least 3 over 60 yds. Dri Archer had a tough day on the ground but made up for it with 6 catches 175 yds and 2 TDs. Archer may be on his way to first 1k rushing and 1k receiving in Aaloa history(i think)
