ASU 52 - CAL 21
Now that's more like it! We came into this season with big questions marks on defense but did not doubt our offense. After an offensive meltdown vs. Air Force and a close game against SMU, the Sun Devils opened PAC12 play with a resounding win at home vs. Cal. We were without 3 starters on offense (QB, HB, RT) but still put up 52 points.
Next Up: at #16 USC

Yeah I think it worked itself out. I only lost the XP points from Week 1. I'll know for sure when we advance to week 5 if things are working properly.

Air Force Moves to 4-0 With Victory over Wyoming
The Falcons watched the Cowboys take the opening kickoff and ram it right down their throats for a TD and an early 7-0. The rest of the first half was all Falcons as they scored 21 unanswered and took a 28-10 lead into halftime. The Falcons would receive the second half kick and look to put the game away early in the third quarter but Wyoming had other plans. Later on the drive, in Wyoming territory, QB Nate Romine made his lone error of an almost perfect game on his part as he threw a lazy out route to the wide side of the field. The Cowboys CB jumped it and took it to the house to cut the lead to 28-17 and give Wyoming some confidence. The rest of the quarter was a defensive struggle as the score held up heading into the final stanza. However the Air Force offense proved to be too much to handle behind QB Nate Romine as he completed 19 of 23 passes for 318 yards and 2TD while also rushing for 58 yards and 2 more scores. The Falcons offense as a whole racked up 529 yards of total offense (318 yards passing and 211 yards rushing) on their way to a 42-32 victory. With the win, the Falcons eclipsed last year's win total and put them in early control of the MWC Mountain division with a 3-0 conference record. Air Force will host Nevada next week in the third game of a three game home stand.
FINAL SCORE

Air Force Falcons 42

QB Nate Romine
19/23 for 318 Yards

SMU survives QB's Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
SMU 17, Tulsa 10
TULSA — This is one win Matt Davis will want to forget.
On a day when the Tulsa Hurricanes' defense was seemingly incapable of stopping the SMU offense, QB Davis seemingly did everything he could to keep his opponent within striking distance.
So despite racking up 444 yards of total offense in a balanced ground and air attack, SMU managed just 17 points thanks to a whopping five turnovers in the rain, all by the Mustang quarterback.
On drive after drive, SMU marched downfield, only to hand it right back over to the home team. The final tally: 4 INTs. 1 fumble. 1 pissed off coach.
"444 yards. Four. Hundred. Forty. Four. Yards. And we only put 17 points on the board," first-year offensive coordinator Mr. Mustard said after the game. "Is it Christmas already? Because we damn near gave that one away."
The saving grace for the Mustangs? A stellar effort from a defense that gave up just 223 yards, and another punishing performance from a running game that picked up big yards and, perhaps more importantly, allowed SMU to dominate the time of possession, 20:19 to 7:41.
Of course, the disparity on the stat sheet only made the final margin that much more difficult to swallow.
"TCU's next week, boys," Mustard said. "Might want to get a grip on this 5-turnover nonsense."
