Running Up The Score
Fri Sep 06, 2013 8:26 pm
I think in today's day and age, we need to redefine the rules of running up the score.
It's pretty common nowadays for whatever reason. Could be for confidence-building reasons or just a big F U to the other team.
I mean the Broncos pretty much had the game in hand yesterday yet they kept passing until P. Manning had 7 TDs.
The Patriots do it all the time as well.
Do you think this applies to Madden? If I don't like a coach or if I'm playing my rival team, I wouldn't mind throwing in some extra ones, just saying. It's happened to me before and I didn't like it.. But it makes the game much more competitive and firey!

Hell to the no. It pisses me off when people run up the score on me. It's not just the scoring aspect, either -- it makes the game take longer. If I'm getting beat badly, I want the game to end as quickly as possible.
I think letting people do it will just encourage douchey behavior, and stat padding which affects player progression.

I agree leave it as it is because it will just encourage stat padding
