Position Changes

I approved the Browns moving Barkevious Mingo to MLB. OLB to MLB. Follows the same preogression as Shea McClellin of the Bears going DE to OLB to MLB in real life.

Here are my position changes for Season 3. As I mentioned earlier, I am switching to a 4-3 defense next season so:

3-4 DE Stephon Tuitt moves to 4-3 DT

Tuitt is 6'5" 303lbs and has the build to easily move inside and make the transition.

3-4 MLB Ryan Shazier moves to 4-3 OLB

Obviously with the switch there won't be two MLB on the field and Timmons will continue to man the MLB spot for now. Shazier played OLB in college so it should be a natural transition.

Those are the definite moves for now, but other possible moves dependent on the draft/free agency:

3-4 OLB Bud Dupree will potentially move to 4-3 DE

Dupree is 6'4" 269lbs and played DE in college.

3-4 MLB Lawrence Timmons will potentially move to 4-3 OLB

Same rationale as Shazier and Timmons also played OLB in college.

DT Tyrone Crawford to LE: he is a 4-3 DT and not quite big enough to play Nose Tackle in a 3-4 especially with Danny Shelton there.

My RT Houge to RG? Is only 6'5 would prefer more size on the edge?

Yep. OLine are pretty much interchangeable. Be careful though, actually moving them may fuck with their ratings. Might be best just to set your depth chart where you want them.

And can I move Bernard Pollard to 4-3 OLB? He's slow now (77 speed) and really has no other place on the field, since he is still great at playing the run.

No. We've never allowed a safety to LB conversion before.

I can only move Fairley from RE to LE. How do you make him a DT? Or is it simply a depth chart move?

You can move him in the depth chart, but you missed the period to officially change his position. I think it had to be done right after the draft or early in the pre-season.
