OFFENSE
The option with (S)Cam Newton is a threat at any time. Doesn't have any major threats in the passing game with top end speed, but has good route runners. Kelvin Benjamin is probably his favorite target by far, followed by Greg Olsen. Cotchery is slow, but deceptively agile in routes. In the running game, starts little Kenjon Barner over Deangelo WIlliams and Jonathan Stewart for some reason. The 5'9" little guy always seemed to fall forward like Marshawn Lynch somehow. On play action, it always seemed Benjamin on a square in was the primary read instead of Olsen on the flag.
DEFENSE
Runs a multiple defense. Has a monsotrous defensive line and rotates between a 4-3 and 3-4 look. Then there's Luke Kuechly who is perfect at everything, reading plays and playing in coverage. The secondary is the softest part of his defense. Doesn't have to blitz because of the studs up front, but can bring pressure from anywhere.
SPECIAL TEAMS
Nothing Special.

Tough match for a scouting report since he scored on the first play from scrimmage with a slant over the middle and never looked back. He was up a lot fast and played comfortably without trying to hurt my ego too much.
He runs very well and mixed up his runs using all 3 backs and additionally isn't afraid to keep u honest/spying with throwing in a qb option play or simply taking off with Cam if your coverage holds up.
Almost everything went wrong for me in this game so he had a field day passing as well, somehow even if I picked great coverage, he managed to either throw his receivers open or my guys just refused to stick to their assignments.
Defense
His D was good, especially in passing D , but I really was struggling with my guys getting open or missing the open ppl the few times they got seperation!
He mixed up his play calling on D , but it seemed he played more man to man than zone. He usered a LB for the most part and did it well, but when he over pursued I was able to get him for some nice gains on the ground. Brought the occasional blitz but most his sacks were coverage sacks.
Special teams
were pretty standard, can't underestimate them but if u stick with the assignments u should be able to contain the big play there.
Great game cape , looking to redeem myself in Charlotte later this yearthe_EDJ wrote:SEASON 1
Offense
Has a three-headed monster in the backfield with Newton, Williams, and Stewart. Combine that with his triple option looks from the Shotgun and cry. Needs to balance all of his outside runs with some more inside looks though. Can lock into his receivers before the snap. Didn't show a favorite target though. Is choosy with his QB scrambles. You can't use a spy or else he'll just wait for the coverage to collapse. YOu can't rush him or he'll just bust free.
Key Play: When he was in the 3/4 TE Shotgun look, it was a play-action pass with an immediate target to Greg Olsen.
Defense
Mixes up the blitz looks and is not afraid to bring the pressure. Would rather sit back and rush four though If you attack his usered LB you can decoy him with one WR and look him off to use another part of the field. Has a very opportunistic Safety.
Special Teams
Nothing special. Didn't even attempt to return a kickoff if it reach the end zone.

Run ---> Tried running in the first quarter but wasn't able to get anywhere, gave up on it early - only rushed 8 times for 16 yards
Pass ---> Did a good job mixing up play-calling, if he saw single-coverage it's almost always a lob - usually to Olsen but he did try and hit Smith deep a couple times. Newton's accuracy was pretty bad on some easy throws, but Olsen killed me so be sure to double and keep an eye on him (5 of the 10 completions were to him).
Defense:
Run ---> I was able to run pretty well against his D, although he fills the gaps pretty well with the Middle Linebacker. Tosses didn't work too well, but had one or two nice draw plays up the middle that worked.
Pass ---> Did a great job containing Fitz and Heap, especially in the second half. Runs almost all man coverage and uses his linebacker to shade towards Heap/Fitzgerald and does it well (targeted Fitz 8 times probably, only 2 catches and threw two pics trying to thread the needle to him). Almost always has help over top so throwing deep was difficult - leaves the flats open so a good receiving Running Back could have a nice day.
Special Teams:
---> Nothing special on returning but kicks the ball near the sidelines/out of bounds and gets down the field well.
Overall it was a great game. I led 7-0 at half, he scored 2 touchdowns in the third quarter and I had the ball inside the ten in the last minute but threw a pick in the end zone. Final was 14-10 despite my 11 minute clock advantage - turnovers were key.Gridiron Savages wrote:Season 2:
Offense:
Ran it well with Stewart all game then Jacobs late in the game. Mixes up runs well, likes runs from shotgun and tosses more than the others though. Will scramble with Cam but won't run with him unless he has to. Spreads the ball around well, looks for Olsen more than his WRs and rarely goes with 3 or 4 WR.
Defense:
Controls MLB mostly but will switch to corners and safeties when the ball is in the air and is very good with user plays. Got a lot of pressure on me even when he wasn't blitzing and runs more man than zone, but mixes it up pretty well.
Special Teams:
Returned one for a TD with Peterson so the rest of the game he kicked it out of bounds on punts. Nothing spectacular in the return game.
Overall he's a really good player, makes great user games and doesn't give the game away. Final was 28-20 him, second year in a row he's beaten meDemonX5136 wrote:Season 2:

Good Playcalling
Passing game - Plays the pass pretty conservatively, didn't force much passes. Likes hitting TE Olsen but watch out for plays where two receivers are following one another. He will pass to the guy of which you're not following. If you're smart you'll get the jump.
Running game - Mixes it up well(tosses, dives, draws). Danger zone for me was the draws because he ran them effectively. I did NOT see them coming.
Defense:
Mostly man coverage(pretty effective). I didn't see a whole lot of blitzs. His secondary is definitely a force to be reckoned with though(3 or 4 INTs). Defended against the run well too. Didn't allow many big plays.
Tough opponent, gg Capeillmatic717 wrote:Season 3
Offense-
never got much of a running game going. I stacked the box a lot and he got down 3TDs pretty quickly. Tried a draw here and there. Struggled with blitzes, i sent a lot at him. on 3rd and longs cover 4 was a success. Cam was very inaccurate and missed some open routes. Didnt really escape the pressure well, cam only had a few short runs. tough game for his offense.
Defense -
almost always man coverage, always users mlb. press sometimes on 3rd downs. curls worked early, as did auto-motion routes. against run will sometime spread LBs and pinch D line.
