IGN | PS4 controller on PS3

The PS3 learned a new trick. The latest firmware allows you to use PS4 Dualshock 4 controllers wirelessly with the PS3.

There's a caveat to the update though. The PS3 only views the PS4 controller as a basic bluetooth controller. So the rumble and motion control functions of the controller won't work. Also, the PS4 controller does not offer pressure sensitive buttons like the PS3 controller did. But very few games used the feature. Instructions are tied to IGN's link.
