Madden Ultimate Team

I see a lot of people playing this mode.  I actually have never tried it but rather than joining another league I'm leaning towards diving into MUT to satisfy that Madden fix between AALoA league games.  I'm going to mess around with it this week (my AALoA bye week) but is there anything a newbie to the mode should be aware of? look for? tips?

You can play Draft Champions to test out cards and earn stuff without having to spend/commit to stuff and as you get used to what you like and have some coins,rewards and packs, you can start on other things! You can msg me anytime about MUT, I'm in a MUThead clan & a Facebook group, so it's been the main thing I played after scheduling the long user games got difficult back then! I recommend playing draft champions to get a feel for it.. play with different cards and see which you like best.. I have been doi g MUT since they introduced the mode and I loe it.. challenges to earn better cards are fun (some will tick you off lol) theall madden ones anyway.. got questions hmu

I think most people recommend selling/auctioning your rarest elite cards for a ton of coins to try and buy as many packs as possible to be as free to play as possible.

The MUTheads above me should be able to confirm that if so.

Ok, so I put it on at 9PM and 3 hours later I have to turn it off or I won't get enough sleep for work. lol  A couple of questions (sorry if they're stupid questions):

- How do contracts work? 
- How can you earn Points?  I've earned coins and tickets but not points.
- Are there settings for Draft Champions or do they always start on Rookie Mode?
- What alternative methods do you guys use to get points/tickets/coins other than just doing a crap load of solo challenges?
- What currency is used more or worth more when upgrading a roster ... coins, tickets or points?  What do you get with tickets that you can't get with coins, etc?

I have a ton of more questions, but that should keep me busy reading during lunch tomorrow (hopefully), lol.

I'll be back on tomorrow if anyone wants to run one (even though my roster is trash at the moment).

Sounds good, but I must warn you I did pick up a 71OVR (FB - David Johnson) card last night so things are looking up.

The contracts are how many games you get to use that card, when they run out or are close to running out a message will pop up telling you that you need to add more.. 100 contracts cost 2000 coins... the tickets are for ranked draft champion events an there you need to win 6 games before losing 2 and if you do you will get some pretty good rewards.. pro pack, I believe ya get a elite player (85 and up) and like 5K coins.. the rookie settings are there for certain challenges and they cant be changed.. coins are the best currency unless you wanna spend actual cash for points.. thas the only way to aquire points.. I did like 170 solo challenges and there are still 511 left for me to do.. only other way to get more coins are sell cards you don't need in the auction house but since youre just beginning, solos are gonna be your best option

Points are really mainly used for buying special bundles of packs that tend to be packs geared towards a current promo or other special packs that tend to recur throughout the year like Legend, game changer, ultimate, all-pro pack and so on! This year and especially right now the good old propack is the way to go! The casual gamer is at luck because you can buy decent or even great gold player cards to build your team from anywhere as low as 500-2500 coins and some bronze and silver cards can sell even higher then that! It's all about studying the market, knowing which sets are desirable and therefor driving up the prices for the cards needed for those sets!
Tickets are needed for any of the modes to play against other users that count towards leaderboards, that can be salary cap mode, draft champions or the old ranked h2h( I think it uses tickets now too, but haven't actually played this year so don't hold me to it)! You can typically win those tickets back by winning a few games during that run! Friday nights you always wanna play draft champions ( DC) which has a special promotion then and is called short FND for Friday night draft, it can net you great rewards. Let me know if you guys ever want to run a Draft Champions game.  I tried it the other night ... pretty cool having Emmitt Smith as my RB one game, Ray Nitsche (sp?) from the Packers at MLB.  cool
