The Division is a true current-gen shooter, not tied to an old console framework that launches early in March. The weekend of 01/28/16, Ubisoft is holding a beta for anyone who has pre-ordered the game. You can simply pre-order from Amazon.com, get the code and cancel your pre-order.

It's got MMO/RPG elements with character skills and traits. It's a persistent world and an always on connected shooter like Destiny, but it's 3rd person, not first.
