2016 Season - Week 16
I hope the close of the season of rampant consumerism is treating you well. Hopefully your wallet isn't crying tears of pain and loneliness with all the missing dead presidents from its folds. Hopefully your friends and family bring as little drama, and as much joy as possible. Hopefully you and a certain loved one can curl up and enjoy a seasonal Christmas classic like Die Hard. Hopefully you're all spending enough quality time with your loved ones that you're not reading this. Happy Holidays everyone.

The Browns vs the Ravens is the easy choice for Game of the Week, that it's not even fair. Any week where a comination of the Browns, Steelers, and Ravens play against each other is bound to be worth watching. Getcha popcorn ready. So instead of highlighting those two, let's pay special attention to the Falcons and Raiders. The Raiders quietly have th eleague's longest winning streak, sitting at 7 games in a row, to put them at the top of the AFC West, and just lingering below the Browns and Ravens. At 11-3, they still need a win, and a Chiefs loss to secure a playoff spot, and are battling the AFC North winner, and the Texans for a playoff bye week. In the NFC, the Falcons hold a 1 game lead on the Buccaneers, yet could still finish 8-8 and make the playoffs. They need to win the South because the Bears and Cowboys sit ahead of them in Wildcard pecking order. Even better, the Falcons face the Buccaneers next week, and Tampa holds the current tie-breaker from their Week 7 matchup.
Week 17 opens Sunday night.

Up in New York The Giants are just trying to remain positive and wanna finish the season strong and hopefully carry some momentum into next season.. There are definitely some needs at key positions and in the offseason Owner M. Hickenbottom hopes to address these issues..

I just finished my game and it shows you winning 30-27 (I'm assuming that's the initial thriller you were referring to). I also just checked the website and it has you winning.

Steelers dominate the Bengals 41-7 as the only Bengals score came on a pick 6. The Steelers held the Bengals offense scoreless, picked off Andy Dalton 5 times and scored 4 different ways (rushing, receiving, Int Return, Kickoff Return).

Having played you this season and seeing some of your other scores, your team is not that far away. You have to be happy with the play of QB Ryan Nassib (btw, Eli Manning's retirement is still scaring me, lol).

Dolphins beat Jets handedly but lose star RB and potential OPOY Lamar Miller to a dislocated ankle. The Parker & Miller injuries end any sort of upset hopes I had for the playoffs.

Just an FYI if you've got a PS Plus membership expiring soon. I just bought a 1 yr membership for $40 off Amazon, $10 off. They give you the code digitally, no need to wait either. Mine expires in February when it's not on sale so it's good timing for me to buy it now.

Thanks Steel.. Yeah I am pretty impressed with the team overall.. Nassib surprised me alot.. Get my interception count down and figure out ways to run the ball to compliment my somewhat good passing attack.

The Bears keep surging towards a playoff spot, and can still win the North should the Vikings stumble in the final two weeks.
In the victory over the Eagles, it was a game of resurgence as Jared Allen appeared energized with sacks on back to back plays, and Matt Forte had a long lost spring in his step.
The highlight of the day had to be Eagles NT Kyle Williams jumping offsides on a hard snap count, and then dislocating/breaking his thumb getting knocked out for the game. As a nose tackle, Williams literally was inches from the ball.
