James Harrison Hangs Up The Cleats For Good Harrison

James Harrison Announces His Retirement ... Again.

This time its for good he says.  The 2008 NFL Defensive Player of the Year has announced that he has decided to retire and spend more time with his family.  Harrison, briefly retired for 11 days prior to the start of the 2014 season but was talked back into giving it another go 'round with the boys in Black and Gold.  James Harrison retires as #2 on the Steelers in Sacks all-time.

Not much for words, Harrison's fire, intensity and old-school hard-nosed mentality will be missed.  While he wasn't known for saying much, he did provide some gems when he did grace the mic as he once famously said,

"I don't want to see anyone injured," Harrison said, "but I'm not opposed to hurting anyone."

James Harrison was a part of three AFC Championship and two Super Bowl winning teams during his tenure with the Steelers and he'll always be remembered for this play in Super Bowl 43.

Thanks for the memories James !!!
