2015 Season - Week 3
Week 2's GotW was a mostly defensive battle. It was interesting to watch. Pitt did the honors of streaming. Great job getting your games in quickly and utilizing the scheduling thread. Forum threads are the only thing that will offer you help in getting an auto-pilot game, or sim advantage.
Penalty Sliders
I'm putting sliders back to default for now.
League Settings
Nobody opposed the move. We're bumping up game quarters to 8 minutes. Maybe even more if it doesn't add enough quality play.

Free agency is open. No more restrictions, other than be smart. Don't spam the FA wire, your team is already mostly built.

Two vets square off. Both trending upward, just from very different starting points. The Titans are in rebuilding mode with a young hotshot QB charging the way. The Colts are in a Super Bowl push themselves. Both offer exciting weapons on offense. Can the defenses rise to the challenge?
Week 4 opens Friday night.

Jesus Christ, the CPU is annoying. Bills jump out to a 21-0 lead in Miami but ultimately EJ Manuel remembered who he was & came back to Earth. Dolphins rattle off 24 pts unanswered in the 2nd half to hold onto a desperate win. Buffalo drove the length of the field with 1 minute left & got inside the 1 but the clock ran out as they chose to hurry up and try to spike the ball instead of using a timeout. Thanks madden logic.

Chargers beat the Browns 25-16. It was a battle of the running backs as both Melvin Gordon and AP amassed over 100 yards a piece. Ultimately, the Chargers offence was just unstoppable. Kicker Josh Lambo missed three extra points on a windy day. Lol.

In a battle of the win less the 49ers once again found themselves with the short end of the stick. The Niners D wasn't their usual suffocating self but they were able to hold the Cardinals to 20 pts and gave the team they're first points of the season with a pick six. The offense also found the endzone for the first time with a run by rookie Jarryd Hayne. QB is still a question mark for San Fran as both Kaep and Flynn played and neither showed anything to impress the coaches. The team is still shopping Kaep and trying to acquire a QB to turn this team around.

Pete Carroll can't cheat his way out of this one.
The Chicago Bears faced one of their biggest challenges of the year, the ridiculously stacked roster of the Seahawks. Seattle would receive to start the game, and march right down the field to score, and put Chicago on its heels. From there, it was just a poor showing by Chicago in all three phases of the game. Marshawn Lynch showed up, he wasn't getting fined. The Legion of Doom was suffocating receivers. And Tyler Lockett made the Bears coverage units look slow and out of place on special teams.
The only team keeping Seattle from running away with the game, was Seattle. While Russell Wilson is still interception free, he missed badly on a couple of throws, and was close to throwing at least 4 picks. It also helped that the aggressive Seahawks defense left some blown coverages as well.
The game was almost sealed when Kam Chancellor got beat on a route, then spun around to pick off Mettenberger, warping through a sprinting Kevin White. Thankfully, Marshawn Lynch didn't get his skittles on the sidelines, and without the sticky candy left on his hands, he fumbled on the ensuing drive, giving the Bears hope.
The Seahawks gambled, blitzed hard, and Martellus Bennett was wide open in the flat to jog down the sidelines untouched for a long TD pass. Matt Forte would convert the two point conversion to put Chicago up 20-13. Russell Wilson entered clutch mode, and the Bears secondary started crapping their pants. Robert Meachem was uncovered versus a Cover 3 defense 50 yards downfield. Backed up into their own end zone, the Bears dug their heels in, Shea McLellin dropped 2 sure INTs, and the Seahawks couldn't covert a 4th and long in the red zone.
Next week, the Bears host the Raiders, in a showdown of young, hotshot QBs. Will Aldon Smith play for the Raiders? Or will he still be suspended?

Texans defeat Buccaneers. It was a tough game for Lovie Smith and his Bucs as they were gutted by the run early leading to an early hole, which was too great for Jameis Wintson to dig his team out of.
Player of the Game: Arian Foster-- got out of his funk and finished the day with 213 yards on 17 carries.

Finally got a win on the strength of 6 ints. Perrish Cox got his 3rd and 4th ints on the young season, including an early 92 yard pick 6. I'd feel good about possibly winning the division until I saw YT joined as the Texans. Boo.
Also kids, remember, spend your scouting points. You lose half of your points if you dont use them weekly.

Steelers Jump Out Early and Cruise To Victory Over Rams
The Rams first three possessions were interception, interception, three and out. The Steelers capitalized and turned each of the subsequent drives into touchdowns for a 21-0 lead as they then cruised to the 24-7 win over St. Louis.
