AALoA NCAA13 Dynasty News Weekly
Season 3 – Week 14 Preview
A playoff system on the FBS level is still a couple of years away but don’t tell that to many of the top teams in the country as this weekend will have a playoff like atmosphere at several campuses across the country. As if rivalry weekend wasn’t enough of a reason to be excited about lacing up the cleats this weekend, there will be plenty of BCS Title Game and Conference Title Game implications this weekend involving AALoA teams. The slate of games was too tantalizing to single any one game out as the game of the week so let’s do a quick rundown of the games involving AALoA teams in the BCS Top 10.
#7 Oregon at #1 Oregon State

The Civil War is always a hotly contested battle but the stakes may be at an all-time high this week. Coach truth and his Ducks have had this game circled on their calendar for quite some time now as Coach Squirrel and his Oregon State Beavers have won each of the last two meetings in thrilling fashion. Not only have those loses cost Oregon bragging rights but its prevented them from going to the PAC12 Title Game as well as knocked the Ducks down to playing in lesser tier bowl games such as the Fight Hunger and Holiday Bowls. What better time for the Ducks to get their revenge than the week their rivals moved to #1 in the polls. The winner of this game will be crowned PAC12 North Champs and go on to play in the PAC12 Title game and keep their National Title hopes alive while the loser will probably sport a great record but find themselves playing in a December Bowl game.
#4 Notre Dame at #5 USC

Both teams come into this game sporting identical 10-1 records and look to keep their National Title hopes alive. For Notre Dame, they won last year’s game convincingly and look to repeat the feat while hoping for help in the form of losses by one or more of the Top 3 teams in the country. For USC, they’ve clinched a spot in the PAC12 Title Game and can still play in a BCS Bowl Game with a loss this week but the Trojans want more. The Trojans want revenge. Coach Jack Meehof recruited heavily for speed in his defensive front 7 and has tinkered all season with his defensive playbook, in part because of what happened in last year’s game versus Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish ran at will against the Trojans’ defense and this year they bring with them the Heisman front-runner in RB George Atkinson III. We’ll see firsthand whether those adjustments paid off for the Trojans.
#3 Virginia at #24 Virginia Tech

Freshmen QB Ross Ramsey has been outstanding this season in leading the Cavaliers to a perfect 11-0 record and #3 ranking in the polls. For the third straight year they will travel to Blacksburg to take on rival Virginia Tech. The Cavaliers have clinched a spot in the ACC Title game but a loss to the Hokies would end their hopes at a possible return to the NCS Title game. The Hokies have suffered home losses to Cavaliers in back to back years and would love to send their neighbors from the north back home with an L.
#20 Michigan at #6 Ohio State

The Ohio State Buckeyes still have an outside shot at playing in the BCS Title Game if they can get some help along the way, but first they have to help themselves. Staying focused on the task at hand and not looking ahead to the B1G Title Game won’t be a problem with hated Michigan coming to the Horseshoe. The Buckeyes have owned this matchup in recent years under Coach Buckeye and there’s no reason to believe that this year will be any different as the Buckeyes have rolled off 9 straight victories and are getting outstanding QB play from Senior Braxton Miller.
Full League Schedule
#7 Oregon at #1 Oregon State
#3 Virginia at #24 Virginia Tech
#4 Notre Dame at #4 USC
#20 Michigan at #6 Ohio State
Illinois at Northwestern
South Florida at Temple

LMAO
I'll be checking the box scores this week to see if you try to stat pad and punt on third downs in the second half just to ensure Davis gets enough punts and punt yardage to clinch the award. hahaha

Re: Week 14 Open
Virginia wins the Battle For The Commonwealth over Virginia Tech by a score of 49-27. The first quarter saw the Hokies offense on the field for 6:07 (out of 7min) yet trailed 7-3 thanks to an intercepted option run back for a TD by the UVA defense. Virginia opened it up in the second quarter once the offense got on the field and with the help of Hokies turnovers. Virginia led 28-10 at the half and maintained their cushion the rest of the way. Virginia finishes the regular season 12-0 and will face Florida State in the ACC Championship.

I'd hate to see this end up a CPU game considering the magnitude of the game so let's give it one more day. I would reach out to him again tonight, update the weekly scheduling thread once you do and if he still does not respond I will put ND on auto-pilot tomorrow and you can play the CPU.

USC falls in a close game 27-14 Nds secondary shut down USCs receiver eventually takin out Marqise in the 3rd with a concussion, but on the upside I shut down heisman front runner George Atkinson to 14car 26yards and 0TDs and I get to play spoiler against #1 Oregon state, a bummer of a lose but hopefully this secondary recruiting class will actually catch wide open ints lol
