Week 1:

The Chicago Bears, with their heads held high stormed out onto the field with one purpose: to solidify themselves as a team to be reckoned with. An injured Brian Urlacher rallied the troops before the game, trying to get his team fired up for something that he couldn't be apart of, and it just tears him apart. "I really want to be out there for my team and to help us win football games. My injury came at a bad time, but I promise to be back at 100% in a few weeks" said an emotional Brian Urlacher to the press earlier in the week. The Colts won the toss and elected to defer, sending the Bears onto the field first. Cutler, looking for a redemption season due to last years injury, came out on to the field to show off this high powered offense. Brandon Marshall, a coveted target acquired to the Bears for next to nothing, was hoping to continue the production and the chemistry that Cutler and himself experienced in Denver. Cutler got off to an awful start, and questions started to be raised about his poise in the pocket. Cutler dropped back and attempted a throw over the middle, and ended up getting picked off by DB Drayton Florence (who had 2 INTs on the day). Cutler shook this off and walked back to the sidelines, waiting for a shot at redemption. Cutler finished the day with a 64 Passer Rating, 2 TDs and 4 INTs. Just not a good day for Cutler. Dwight Freeney of the Colts spent the entire afternoon making the 2nd Year Starter Gabe Carimi look downright awful, leading to 3 sacks on his quarterback Jay Cutler, and raising some questions of his physical ability to hold down his side. Matt Forte was also non-existent, with 21 carries for 57 yards (2.7 YPC). The Bears were defeated in their home opener 31-17. The score was a little closer than the game showed, as the Bears looked sloppy and still in that pre-season funk. Coach Lovie Smith stated: "We just didn't look like ourselves out there today, we pride ourselves on a balanced offense, and a heavy, blitzing defense. We'll get out of our struggles, its only Week 1. There is quite a bit of football yet to be played." Join us next week as the Bears head to Lambeau Field for a Thursday Night showdown with Aaron Rodgers and the division rival Green Bay Packers.

Looked like a pretty tough game for the Oline. I'm sure Cutler and Marshall will get it together before the seasons out though.

Pre Game Presser for Week 4

Coach Lovie Smith: "Jay's our Quarterback, he's just going through a rough patch right now and I am confident that he will get out of this poor start."

Lovie Smith seems to be high on his quarterback, but the 0-3 Bears are looking for some redemption Monday Night against the Dallas Cowboys

Week 4
Jay Cutler and Tony Romo, poised for a showdown on Monday Night Football, came into the game with the playoffs in sight. "It's a little too early to be worrying about the playoffs; We're only 3 games into the season at this point" said Quarterback Jay Cutler of the Chicago Bears. The Bears were looking for answers as many football fans were stunned to see the talented team winless in their first three games.

Quarter 1:
Mainly a defensive quarter, as both me and NY were feeling out each offense and nothing important happened.

Quarter 2:
Basically same as the first, NY got on the board first on a rushing TD by Romo, while I managed to only get three. 7-3 at the half.

Quarter 3:
Another defensive quarter as there weren't really any highlights, as NY grabbed 3 points, making the score 10-3 entering the 4th quarter.

Quarter 4:
This is where the action really picked up. The Bears defense really began to pick it up as Romo began making some poor throws leading to 3 INT's (not sure) in the quarter, and two Miles Austin fumbles down the sideline lead to Chicago getting back in the game. Matt Forte ran in for a score with less than a two minutes left in the game. Tie game 10-10. The Cowboys storm back onto the field and Romo throws another interception to "Peanut" Charles Tillman as he could have easily housed it for six, but wisely stops at the 7 yard line to force Dallas to use timeouts. With one time-out left, Matt Forte ran in for another score to give the Bears the lead 17-10. They could feel it on the sidelines now. The Cowboys, poised for one final drive, manage to get a 40 yard heave to the sidelines as Dallas was at the 50 yard line. The next play, Romo fired a pass over the left side and gets picked off by DJ Moore to seal the game. Final 17-10.

Box Score:

Bears
Jay Cutler: 10 for 18, 148 Yards, 0 TDs, 0 INTs
Matt Forte: 18 Carries, 51 Yards, 2 TDs
Alshon Jeffery: 3 Rec, 33 Yards
Chris Conte, Charles Tillman, Brandon Hardin, and DJ Moore: 1 INT.

Cowboys
Tony Romo: 13 for 24, 211 Yards, 4 INTs 1 (Rushing) TD
DeMarco Murray: 17 Carries for 84 Yards, 0 TDs
Miles Austin: 2 Rec for 57 Yards, 2 Fumbles
Kevin Ogletree: 4 Rec, 55 Yards
Dez Bryant: 2 Rec, 57 Yards

Week 5:

Quarter 1:
Absolutely a defensive quarter, 0-0

Quarter 2:
A great drive by Jacksonville lead to the first score, while Matt Forte a little bit later scored in the quarter, making the score 7-7 at the half

Quarter 3:
Matt forte gets a quick 74 yard score early in the 3rd quarter, while on the next kickof, M. Thomas houses it tying the game up at 14. Robbie Gould then nailed a 36 yard chip shot to give the Bears the lead again 17-14. A very bad defensive call the next series leads to a MJD 49 Yard TD run to give the Jaguars the lead 21-17 entering the 4th Quarter.

Quarter 4:
Too many opportunities pass both of us by early on the 4th quarter, but towards the end it got absolutely ridiculous. A 57 Yard heave from Jay Cutler leads to a Brandon Marshall touchdown, gives the Bears the lead 24-21. An absolutely brilliant drive the next possession leads to a touchdown catch by Justin Blackmon at the edge of the pile on to give the Jaguars the lead back 28-24. The ensuing kickoff, the Jaguars learned the hard way that YOU DO NOT KICK TO DEVIN HESTER, as he returns the kick 103 yards for the last second score to give the Bears the lead once again, 31-28. Blaine Gabbert runs out of time and is unable to get the Jaguars into FG range, as the Bears somehow pull this game out; 31-28. Game ball goes to Devin Hester and Matt Forte!! What a game.

Box Score:

Bears
Jay Cutler: 6 for 19, 101 Yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
Matt Forte: 19 Carries, 171 Yards, 2 TDs
Brandon Marshall: 1 Rec, 57 Yards, 1 TD
Evan Rodriguez: 1 Rec, 8 Yards, 1 Rush, 1 Yards
Devin Hester: 103 Yard KR GW TD
Chris Conte: 2 INT, 4 Tackles
Sherrick McManis: 1 INT, 3 Tackles

Jaguars
Blaine Gabbert: 8 for 26, 182 Yards, 1 TD, 3 INT
Maurice Jones-Drew: 21 Carries, 158 Yards, 1 TD
Justin Blackmon: 2 Rec, 43 Yards, 1 TD
Darrius Heyward-Bey: 3 Rec, 74 Yards
